L'Oréal Professionnel Paris Metal Detox Shampoo - Sulfate-Free Anti-Breakage Shampoo For Damaged or Color-Treated Hair, Detoxifies, Prevents Damage & Prolongs Hair Color

After moving somewhere with very hard (and specifically iron filled) water a few years ago, my hair really began to suffer. It started breaking off like crazy, wouldn't (or couldn't) grow fast enough to make up for it, and anywhere my hair was color treated, the dye washed out and was replaced with a nasty bright orange color. I tried everything. Seriously, everything. The Malibu Hard Water kit did absolutely nothing for me, all it did was dry out my hair without actually removing what I needed it to. The filter I put on my showerhead wasn't able to block enough of the iron in the water to make a noticeable difference, no matter what brand I tried. There are only TWO products that have helped with the iron in my hair, and this is one of them. I've been using this shampoo for a few months now (I use it about once a week to try to make it last longer since it's so expensive, but I also only wash my hair twice a week, so every other time) and I've noticed a difference in the quality of my hair. While it's still more prone to breakage than it was before I moved here, it's softer and I don't have to clean my hairbrush as often. The most noticeable difference is that the bright orange iron deposits in my hair are gone now - it's just a faded, normal blonde color. I don't think my hair will ever get back to how it was as long as I'm using this water, but using this shampoo makes it bearable and I no longer feel like I'm under threat of losing literally all of my hair. If you're having issues with iron or other metals in your water affecting your hair, this is the shampoo you want. And if you're really desperate and need extra help, there's one more product that I've found to actually work among the many I've tried: Color Wow Dream Filter Pre Shampoo Mineral Remover. You spray it on your dry hair and wait a few minutes before getting into the shower and rinsing it off, but I usually leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Then you shampoo and condition like usual. This was the only product that worked for me at all before using this shampoo - it made my hair softer and noticeably less orange. The shampoo has been working so well that I haven't bothered to buy more of it and try the two of them together, but if you're in a serious situation with your hair and need help, get both of these products. They're the only ones that have worked for me out of everything advertised for it. (And as a side note, I always chose to purchase the Dream Filter Mineral Remover from Sephora to make sure that I was getting a genuine product. I buy a lot of things from Amazon, but if I read the reviews and get the hint that there might be illegitimate copies mixed into the product supply, I find it somewhere else. I bought the shampoo here because I didn't see anything to indicate that was the case, but you might want to go to Sephora for the other just to be safe. It's usually expensive beauty products that they do this with.)

Wonderful! Took the brassy orange out of my brown hair. Made my hair super soft and shiny! Very pleasant smell too.

I bought this salon shampoo because my water has a lot of metals and it was making my blonde hair feel dry. I use it about once a month with my regular shampoo and it has helped improve dryness and overall hair health over time. It feels moisturizing without stripping my hair and the thickness is good so it lathers easily and a small amount goes a long way which helps with volume. I also have not had any issues with leakage from the bottle. The ingredients feel more salon quality and my hair feels healthier and my color looks a bit more even and less dull after using it. Overall it is more of a maintenance product than an instant fix but it works well for hard water care.

One of the best shampoos I have ever used. It did "lighten" my hair (so to speak) by removing metal/hard water and product build up. I did not find it to be drying or stripping at all. I can brush through my hair after using this, even if I didn't use a conditioner. This also gets my hair clean to a level where I feel like my "oily hair" problems are no longer an issue. It's rich and lathers extremely well. A little truly does go a long way. It's expensive, but worth it (especially for those with gray hair that tends to turn yellow from hard water). If you have color treated hair, you may want to avoid this shampoo (it might fade your color).

After just one wash, my hair was noticeably softer and more hydrated! Absolutely effective at combating hard water that’s damaged my hair for years. It’s a bit more than I usually spend on shampoo but I feel like it’s definitely worth the extra money. Highly recommend!!!

I have hard water and just after 1 use I cannot believe how wonderful my hair feels and looks- WOW this is the product I’ve been needing!! Bye-bye brassy, dingy and drab hair. Hello soft, silky, bleached blonde hair that is absolutely beautiful and vibrant again. Not only does this product leave your hair looking like you just left the salon, it is lightweight and truly cleans like nothing I’ve ever seen. Stop scrolling for other products this one is IT!

Best product I’ve used in a long time. Don’t need much product each use, which helps to last awhile. Makes my hair feel so clean and refreshed.

Très satisfaite de cette crème lavante L’Oréal Professionnel. La texture est agréable, le produit se répartit bien et laisse les cheveux propres, doux et faciles à coiffer. L’odeur est discrète mais très agréable, avec un vrai effet “soin salon”. Pas besoin d’en mettre énormément, donc le format dure assez longtemps. Je recommande sans hésiter.

Cuando tienes el cabello decolorado o muy dañado, cualquier producto agresivo se nota al instante. Este champú sin sulfatos de L'Oréal Professionnel me ha dado buenos resultados desde las primeras lavadas. La textura es cremosa, hace una espuma abundante a pesar de no llevar sulfatos, y limpia en profundidad sin dejar esa sensación de sequedad o tirantez que tanto odio. El hecho de que sea sin sulfatos se nota en que el color se mantiene más vivo por más tiempo. He usado otros champús para cabello teñido que parecía que me estaban desgastando la fibra, pero con este la diferencia es clara: el cabello se siente más fuerte al tacto, menos quebradizo. Además, el aroma es agradable —dulce y fresco— y se queda en el cabello un buen rato sin ser invasivo. Si bien no se si sirve para todo tipo de cabello, en mi caso le ha dado un plus de volumen, como si le diera grosor al pelo. Además tengo el cuero cabelludo sensible y no me ha producido caspa ni picor.
