I have a 2019 Mercedes GLA and a 2025 mobile. The mobile was a recent purchase but refused to connect to Android auto of my car via the cable (the only option for that model car). The older phone it replaced always connected but the newer mobile never connected and also the new mobile had to have the USB set to allow data as a new security settings on recent phones will only allow power charging via the USB port... So in short it was a hassle despite obtaining information from the phone manufacturer and forums advice the new mobile refused to connect with Android auto. Wireless connectivity was thus worth a try. I installed the app whilst my Amazon purchase was in the post.... The app was used to connect my phone, to the adaptor although it's straight forward it's nice to have instructions about the LED colours to show connectivity was in progress. Wireless connection to the adaptor was quickly made and then I tried to connect to Android auto in my car and was amazed IT CONNECTED TO ANDROID AUTO, it's nice when things just work as they should. I had previously set my USB settings to allow data connectivity to my car connection. After connecting to the adaptor I powered of the car and then powered it selected Android auto connect and it did so straight away. I'm truly pleased as I can now connect my phone to my car as it was not possible before I had this adaptor. I can also leave my mobile in my bag now and no longer have to use the cable connectíon. I've sometimes forgotten to take my previous mobile out of the car as it's hidden in a central compartment. There was that time when checking in for a fight I suddenly realised that my phone was still in my car, I left check-in,caught a bus to the carpark and somehow managed to get back to the airport in time to check-in and not miss my flight. Well these things do happen! This device is a life changer. It works extremely well, is very easy to connect using the app and the app also gives additional information that ,in time, I'll discover more about. For now I'm happy as I'd given up all hope of ever getting Android auto to work with my car. Well worth the approx £40 I paid to get a useful function to work. As a side note when my mobile was in the centre console it had no airflow and would overheat reducing functionality. This adaptor has cured many issues. Recommended device.

I have been a user of the original AAWireless adapter alongside my Android phone since it was introduced in 2022. It sits in my Range Rover Sport and apart from a sporadic connectivity glitch has worked faultlessly ever since. When it throws a wobbler, which hasn’t happened that often, for the most part it has quickly righted itself without need for intervention on my part. On the occasion when I needed help, the AAWireless customer support was first class. I have experimented with other manufacturers Android Auto wireless adapters but none of them compares to the AAWireless device in terms of functionality, performance and reliability. My adapter is still working perfectly today but I decided to upgrade to version TWO to take advantage of the improved design, functionality and Amazon special price (£43.19). Out of the box, its noticeably slimmer and more rounded than its predecessor, which doesn’t benefit me much as mine is tucked away in the centre armrest console, but its more pleasing design is definitely an improvement, especially if there is nowhere to hide it. The other obvious difference is the inclusion of an LED illuminated multi-function button which is used for pairing and switching between phones if you share the car with someone else. The colour of the LED changes according to the pairing status culminating in a solid blue when everything has connected successfully. (All of which is explained in the accompanying Installation Guide). The ability to be able to switch phones in my dual user car being a significant advantage over its predecessor. Setup in my vehicle was fairly straightforward but not as simple as the included Easy Setup Guide suggested, (Plug into your car – Connect your phone to the AAWireless – Enjoy Android Auto). I had to jump through a few more hoops, which was a bit more time consuming but not difficult. Operationally, it is identical to my previous adapter. Connection times for the phone to automatically pair with the car, at circa 20 seconds are identical to its predecessor. The AAWireless App and features are the same and like its predecessor it allows you to tweak various settings, troubleshoot the device and wirelessly update the software. It’s early days but pairing and connectivity have remained steadfast throughout. My main use of the adapter is being able to access Google Maps and Waze, instead of the built in Range Rover mapping and navigation, which it does faultlessly. The advantage being that the mapping features are far superior to the built-in vehicle mapping and I always have access to the latest maps and traffic information. At no cost unlike the crazy price that Land Rover charges to update the maps. In summary, this is more of an evolution if you are upgrading from the original AAWireless adapter but if you are purchasing for the first time, I can personally vouch for the fact that this and its predecessor are a must have if you have a vehicle that doesn’t have wireless Android Auto as standard and want to avoid messy cables trailing everywhere.

Overall, the AAWireless TWO is exactly the kind of smart, simple upgrade that makes day‑to‑day driving easier. If you want to convert a factory wired Android Auto to wireless with minimal fuss — this is the adapter I’d recommend without hesitation.

A little bit pricey. However, works perfectly in my Toyota Corolla for Android auto and connects within 10-15 seconds. Would recommend if you're looking to buy one of these adaptors that just work with no messing about and a easy setup.

It's a great item that avoids the need to physically plug the phone into the car (a 2018 Honda Civic). I have a black phone and interior and occasionally forgot to disconnect when I parked. Now it can stay in my pocket. Set-up was flawless but I'd recommend ensuring that it's sited somewhere visible as the lights are critical to understanding what it's doing. When you start the car, the lights go green, flashing green, then flashing blue when it's searching then solid blue when connected. It does take around 30 seconds or so for the cycle which can be a bit frustrating (I've knocked a star off just for this), but the connection has been rock solid once made and Waze, Google and Spotify all work well with no lag and no effect on sound quality. In fact it feels a little faster than the wired connection if anything. There are cheaper options out there, but technical reviewers seem to rate this device and it appears well made and worth the premium in my view.

I bought this far later than I should have - I wish I had done this much earlier. I was converted to Android Auto whilst using a courtesy car and carried on using it (via USB cable) when I got my own car back from repairs. I missed the wireless convenience though and, on a whim, looked up wireless Android Auto adapters - the AAWireless 2 (and 2+) consistently came top of the rankings. They are slightly more expensive than some of the other ones but not by much so I thought that I would take a chance at £45 - not much of a risk. I am an IT professional and self confessed gadget geek and this is probably the easiest to use electronic product that I have EVER purchased. From opening the box to having a setup, configured, working and tested wireless Android Auto setup took less than 5 minutes. It works flawlessly, every time AND it shows no noticeable performance degradation over a wired connection. I cannot recommend this device enough - the only caveat that I have is that the Wireless 2 does not support Apple Carplay - for that you need the Wireless 2+ (for £5 more). If you want wireless Android Auto in your car and it currently only supports wired connection - BUY THIS!

Works much better than cheaper alternatives. It is fast to connect, doesn't lag when changing songs or apps. Audio quality is good. Have had a couple of glitches that have forced a restart of the unit but otherwise been good.

EL MEJOR sin duda alguna, he probado varios y todos tenian el mismo problema de sincronización con la música o audiolibro cuando llevas abierto el navegador o Radarbot. Este aparato lo ha solucionado por completo dejando a 0 esa ralentización sufrida al intercambiar audios entre distintas aplicaciones. Os dejo la configuración que he aplicado yo y que me va genial en un Peugeot 5008.

Endlich kabellos im Skoda Octavia (2018) mit Amundsen! ​Ich nutze den AAWireless Adapter jetzt zusammen mit meiner Frau (Xiaomi 14 Ultra und ein weiteres Android-Gerät) in unserem Skoda Octavia von 2018 mit dem Amundsen-Infotainmentsystem. Ich muss sagen: Ich bin absolut begeistert, gebe volle 5 Sterne! ​Warum gibt es so viele negative Bewertungen? Ich glaube, viele Nutzer erwarten ein reines "Plug & Play" und geben auf, wenn es nicht sofort perfekt aussieht. Man muss ehrlich sein: Man muss sich ein wenig mit der App beschäftigen. Es ist kein Hexenwerk, aber man sollte sich die Zeit nehmen, die Einstellungen an den eigenen Geschmack und das Auto anzupassen. ​Hier meine Tipps für alle Skoda-Fahrer: ​DPI-Einstellungen: In der App lässt sich die DPI anpassen. Ich habe sie auf 110 gestellt, wodurch das Display jetzt viel besser genutzt wird (Split-Screen-Ansicht für Karten und Musik gleichzeitig), was beim Amundsen original nicht so war. ​Start/Stop-Problematik: Wer das Problem hat, dass das Gerät in der Garage aktiv bleibt: Einfach in den Einstellungen den "VAG-Start/Stop-Modus" aktivieren. Dann schaltet sich der Adapter sofort mit dem Motor aus. ​Zwei Nutzer: Der Wechsel zwischen zwei Smartphones funktioniert reibungslos, sobald man einmal alles konfiguriert hat. ​Fazit: Wenn man bereit ist, 5-10 Minuten in die App-Einstellungen zu investieren (DPI, Audio-Fokus, VAG-Modus), bekommt man ein stabiles, kabelloses Erlebnis, das dem Original in nichts nachsteht. Für mich die beste Investition für mein Auto!
