Gentle, effective. My skin is very fair. I'm 49 with some oil still in the zone. Normal cheeks. But prone to redness, very mild rosacea in the cheeks (new with perimenopause). This is calming and gentle. I've had no problems. If you like a squeaky clean, ivory soap feeling... pass on this. It leaves skin clean but not feeling stripped which may not feel thorough to some people.
