I donโt know how we would have breathed publicity-wise if it werenโt for Limelight and The Little Express in Canada. It was an essential breathing tube for us. It was the paper-and-ink internet. Limelight was the internet with added staples." ANDY PARTRIDGE "Limelight and The Little Express did us proud in putting our name about in the early days." Anything to do with XTC is brilliant
I am a big fan of XTC. I'd just begrudgingly thrown away all my copies of Limelight on a house move so this is a godsend. The most underrated band ever.

If you are fan of XTC, you need to buy this.
I was very pleased indeed to get my copy of this book. As a great fan of all things XTC, it is great to have the collected Limelight magazines in excellent condition in one convenient place. The magazines were a labour of love, dedicated to the band and they started partway through the band's early career and were the only way to get any information and to get questions answered and to read informative interviews with the band, as the press never gave them enough space on their pages at the time. The vintage magazine content is nicely balanced by interesting new interviews with the principal band members, Andy Partridge, Colin Moulding, Dave Gregory and Terry Chambers. In these new interviews, they refreshingly do not shy away from speaking about the eventual saddening demise of the band and while they are all moved on from it all and doing interesting things, there is a sadness from fans for all of them that they are not all together at this time, creating new music. It's never too late, guys. If you are fan of XTC, you need to buy this.

"The Music Publication Of The Year" - Louder Than War
Mark Fisher has done a tremendous job of not only reprinting all the copies of the legendary XTC fanzine, 'Limelight', but also adding plenty of new and updated material, both with the band and with celebrity fans telling of the deep impact this oft-overlooked and underrated band have made on those who bother to seek them out. Ideal for dipping into, or just starting at page one and gorging until you come, sadly, to the last page. Rather than me wittering on, let me quote the final sentence of the review of this book on the great music website, Louder Than War - "This is an outstanding record of a superb band and, certainly from my perspective, the music publication of the year."
