Magical Lights at a Reasonable Price + Amazing Customer Service
These solar-powered pagoda-style lanterns are absolutely lovely. After much research and comparison-shopping, I chose these lights from solartech-led and am so glad I did. 1) Super easy to put together. The instructions are totally clear. 2) Even though they're plastic, they're fairly sturdy and not cheap-looking at all. They look far more expensive than they are. 3) Each lantern has 3 separate solar panels on top, which maximizes the amount of sunlight they absorb and gives you more flexibility on how you position them in your yard. 4) The light they cast is warm, clean, and soothing. Not that piercing blue-tinged light nor that murky orange light. 5) If you have any questions or concerns, the customer service team at solartech-led is fantastic. They respond right away and go above and beyond to make things right. 6) The lanterns end up costing about $10 each, which is totally reasonable for the level of beauty and durability you get. I've spent more on other brands of plastic solar lights many times before and they always fell apart. 7) You'll want more than one box. Once you see how these lights transform your yard, you'll end up buying several boxes! Enjoy!

Cute solar powered lanterns BUT ....
Yeah, these are cute and offer nice accent lightening for your garden BUT be warned going in! These are made of a very thin cheap plastic and are NOT very well built. You have to treat this product with kid gloves when inserting them into the ground. Also, the the screws that hold the top on are barely long enough. I had to do several repairs to correct the bad/cheap manufacturing of this product. Again, treat with KID GLOVES and be very gentle otherwise be ready to repair yourself. UPDATE 5/15/20 - After 8 months I had 2 lanterns go out. Checked & replaced with Fresh batteries but still no lights. Wires looked intact with NO damage. Gave customer service a try (Narah Mao) and she was very professional & helpful to offer replacements! We'll see how long these last so I'll add 1 more star to my review.

Superb Customer Service and my favorite lights
Update: I changed my rating from 4 stars to 5. While I skeptical at first because these are more expensive and you’ll replace batteries on any of them (added cost), I absolutely fell in love with them. I bought the first set last year and then another this year after changing things around. This time I wound up with one bad light. The 4 from last year were still going great. So I wrote the company explaining that the one light didn’t work and had a crack that looked like someone stepped on it. It had a crack and wouldn’t light up. I wanted to know if I needed to return the whole set or just the one light. Lily promptly wrote me back and asked me take a picture, which I did, showing the crack and how it didn’t light up next to the others. To my surprise, she offered to send me a brand new one and just throw away the broken light. I thought that was great. But just now I opened the mail and she sent me a two pack for free! I couldn’t be happier! So, they may cost you a bit more, but these lights are the cutest and most durable or any of the solar lights I bought on Amazon and we have bought around a dozen of the cheap ones in the past. Don’t even bother. It’s not worth it. If you love the unique design as I do, these are the best and the customer service was more than I ever expected. Thank you so much, Lily! Here’s a picture. A little pricey but they look very nice. I took off a star for cheap batteries and high price. It has a stake with an extension piece. Just place those in the ground, twist the top part of the lamp to remove, pull out the tab on the batteries and turn the switch under the solar top to ON, then place it on your stake. I don’t know why people said they look white. They have a yellow plastic enclosure which emits a yellowish color, not white for me. I’ll update how they last after a time.

nice appearance and function, poor structural integrity
I love the look of these solar lights in terms of style and color. They look great with my craftsman style house and carriage lights. I also feel like they give off decent light while still providing a glow that isn't hard on the eyes. I've had them installed for 18 months, and no lights have stopped working. The problem with the lights is that the posts aren't sturdy at all; the plastic cracks VERY easily. I had a post crack shortly after I first put them in, so it wasn't because the plastic had gotten brittle over time and exposure to the elements. I suspect that the ones that have cracked were accidentally knocked by the gardener while he was trimming the nearby hedges and shrubs, but this wouldn't happen, if the plastic on the posts wasn't as thin as it is.

A cut above the ordinary lighting for your landscape.
This is my second set of these lights, and they are just what I want in my yard. WAY better looking than the less expensive cylinder style that is more commonly used. They shed a nice, refined light under my palm trees out front, and a warm glow in the backyard flower beds. Really a great buy!

Look great but have critical flaws and quality issues
Initially the lights worked and looked great. After a few months some of them started flickering. I traced the problem to the on/off switch which wasn't making good contact. I ended up tearing each light apart and putting a bead of solder on the switch pins in order to permanently and reliably close the circuit. Now I have to take the battery out to turn the light off, but it's better than a flickering light. On one of them I noticed no solder had been put on the positive wire connection to the main board. The wire was flopping around and I had to solder it to the board. When reinstalling one of the lights the bottom of the post split open and now I have to try to glue it (others have mentioned this issue). The lights came with a 600 mAh battery which I feel isn't sufficient capacity - even with full sun they can't quite make it through the night. In the spring I will experiment with a higher capacity. One last thing, by the end of the summer the solar panels had become covered with a white film, restricting the light that could pass through. I used nail polish remover to clean it off. Bottom line is that for the price of these I feel like you should get a more reliable light with a higher capacity battery and sturdier structure. I would not recommend these right now. With some tweaks and improvements it could be a great product.

Style & EAse
I love these lights. During the summer they don't turn on until the sun goes down at about 10:30pm. During the fall, they sparkle starting about 6. In Winter when the sunsets at 4:30pm, they come on even earlier because the shadows from trees make them think it is time to come on. They are easy to install. The bad thing is they are not real strong, so the guys - in their early 20's or the ones who do "brut force" - working in the yard sometimes kick and break them. I get upset with that! Now I remove any that might be in the way. Our summers are brutal with sun, so the solar is discoloring, but they seem to be working just fine. I've had some in the yard through the end of last winter - about 9 months. I keep buying more because I love having our walkway lined in order to follow it and not trip over stones, etc.
