*Updated Positive Review*
I purchased this in late March. Ive had nothing but trouble from this pool vacuum. I'm so fed up with it, I want to throw it against a wall and shatter it into 1000 pieces! Its constantly losing charge and not working for the entire time it claims it will. At most, I get 45 mins out of it. It doesn't pick up sand nor dead algae, just pushes it all around the pool. It barely picks up small leaves half the time. You can't reuse it in a very timely manner after using it because you have to wait for it to completely dry out b4 hooking it back up to its charger and waiting for it to recharge. Its difficult to open, clean out, then reassemble for the next use. I have a 24 foot round above ground pool and this thing is honestly absolutely useless! I rarely if ever leave a bad review, but this product deserves it. Do yourself a favor and purchase a pool vac at a higher price point that will do what it says it will. *EDIT; after posting my review, the seller (Aiper) reached out to me to make things right. They sent me a replacement vacuum the Scuba E1 for free. I'm delayed in updating my review because we wanted to use it for awhile and see how well it does. We have a 24 ft round above ground pool and this Scuba E1 is phenomenal! Pics in my review are for this machine (b4 it cleaned, during, and after). It is much stronger than the vacuum originally purchased, has a nice basket with a tight mesh so things don't escape. It absolutely runs its full 90 min time unlike the version we first purchased. It picks up the sand that is constantly in the bottom of the pool (we live in Florida) and any and all leaves from our many nearby trees, too. It works fast and complete. We are 100% more than satisfied with the Scuba E1. More than anything, we are blown away by the more than excellent communication from Aiper's customer service as well as their dedication to making sure we have a product we can be happy with. Thank you so much, Aiper! When we need to purchase again in the future, we will absolutely buy another Aiper.

Shockingly Impressed
My oval 18x33 above ground pool was installed late October of last year so it was just filled and covered for the winter. I bought this pool vacuum just before opening season and I didn't have very high hopes for it but thought it was worth a try. I have been shockingly impressed. I have not used the manual vacuum that came with my pool, box has not even been opened. This little machine is amazing!!! It charges faster than the reported time. Mine is fully charged in 70 minutes and runs for about 2 hrs. It always docks at the side of the pool for easy access. I do have to run it about 3 or 4 times to thoroughly clean the entire pool. It picks up sand and general grit, small twigs, most leaves, and even the occasional pebble and dead insect. I have had no experience with any algae so far so I can't comment on that. This thing has been worth every dollar I paid for it. So if you are on the fence about making this purchase, stop hesitating just do it!!!

Works Great(until it doesn't)
5-29-25 Update the bigger and "better" replacement unit has just stopped working. it charges and begins to run, but all it runs for about five minutes or so and then just completely stops. I had such high hopes for this replacement unit, but it seems to have similar issues to the first unit; not made well enough to work in the long-term apparently ************ i'm updating my review after customer service reached out to me when my first machine failed after a few short months. They sent me an upgraded machine free of charge and it actually works much much better than the original purchase. I would recommend purchasing the seagull model, which is far superior in performance than the entry-level model. This machine worked wonderfully, at first. After a few months it stopped charging, so I went through the warranty repair process and they fixed the machine and sent it back after approximately 2 weeks total. After using it 2 times, the machine is having issues again. Not sure what to do at this point, I really need this to clean the pool but it seems unreliable and not made well enough to last. I'm going to reach out to tech support one more time to try to get this resolved.

No excuses not to vacuum now.
Whenever I find out a friend is getting a pool I always ask the same thing. "Did you decide you didn't have enough chores to do?" It's not that having a pool is difficult, it's just relentless. If it doesn't need cleaning or chemicals than a pump will break or a new leak will appear. After 5 years or so of being the primary pool maintainer I decided to try a robot to clean the bottom of the pool. I've always tried to spend the least amount of money on the pool as I assume the next repair is right around the corner, and so this was a nice cheap option to get help cleaning the pool. Does it work? Yes! eventually. Just keep it running everyday and keep your chemicals in check and you'll keep your pool clean. Does it have flaws! For me, yes! I had a mole dig under the pool during the winter and the line sagged into the trench. half the time the robot would get stuck in the depression. I was fairly impressed with the battery life, although the charging speed could be a bit of a chore if you plan on running it multiple times in a day. Also, it is the type of robot that bounces off of the wall and just slightly turns when backing up, so it would sometimes be spotty. every once in a while I would find it upside down, but that was a rarity. To clean the muck out, you simply have to take the top half off of the weighted bottom and remove a large filter and dump the contents. The screened filter would catch most of the funk, although I think some of the finer particles will flow right through. Still, way better than dragging the hose around for 20 minutes to clean the pool.

Highly recommend!
Love this pool vaccum! I have a 24'x48' round above ground pool and it runs long enough to cover the bottom. This is my second one because I broke the wheel on the first one and I couldn't purchase just the wheels. Fast charge and easy to clean. I use it in the pool every 2 days and keeping the debris off the bottom keeps my pool sparkling clean all summer!

Works great. Excellent product for lazy people like myself.
When our old one died (purchased in 2023), we decided to get the exact same make and model for our new one. These suckers are easy to use and do a great job in our smallish round aboveground pool. I love not having to manually clean my pool and I have had several other types of robotic vacs (the kind that hook up to the filter and the kind run via a power cord). This Aiper is so much more convenient. Also, the filter is very easy to empty and clean. Yes, the old one only lasted two years (I believe the battery wouldn't hold a charge anymore, it would be great if you could replace it, but I get where it might be problematic since it needs to be sealed because of water), but I *still* think it was worth it for the price point and convenience. And I am lazy

Not very useful / great customer service
UPDATE: After reading my two star review, a representative emailed me and asked if they could send me the Scuba which is an upgraded model. I gladly accepted it and I am happy to say it is much better and cleaning my pool very well. I very much appreciate the outstanding customer outreach. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I’ve let this run a few times and it picks up maybe 2 tablespoons of sand/dirt at the bottom of the pool, it has never picked up one leaf, no matter what size, and it runs out in a few hours and always parks itself in the middle of the deepest end of the pool. Now I’m going to look into corded pool vacuums as this basically does not do anything. I wanted it to do…
