Works well for our big Cajun dutch oven. Very sturdy.

Great little contraption to securely lift dutch oven lids. Being able to firmly grip the lid allows one to shake off all the spent coals and start with a clean lid with freshly fired coals. Having the bail lifting hook on the front leg is a convenient feature for an all in one tool. I use to lift the lid plus a Lodge 4-in-1 to rest the lid when cooking. Lifting the from the bail on heavily loaded ovens does tend to be more natural with the 4-in-1 but this certainly does the job.

This is my goto lid lifter for my camp dutch ovens. Easy to use and allows you to maintain good control of the lid. You will have a secure grasp. This also lifts the pot by the bail. The yellow handles makes it highly visible and easy to spot when you need to find it. Don't bother with the cheap lifters. Get the right one from the start. Heavy duty and built to last. Highly recommended.

Handier than I expected, not too pricey, solid and works great.

The angle of the hook is a little too tight to for some cast iron dutch ovens. We bought it for our Trail Life USA troop and it works for half of our cast iron lids, but not all. Once we opened up the hook a bit, it works great. My only other negative is that it's not spring loaded, so the handle will not hold the lid up off the ground if you set it down, so you must lean it over or put it on a stand.

I'm giving this a five star because the one I got from Amazon didn't work I contacted Lodge and sent him pictures of what it was doing and they sent me another one. I look forward to using this when I'm out Dutch oven cooking

Works great. Allows you to hold lid to get coals off the top by tilting it. Easy to use. Keeps your hand away from the heat. Definitely recommend

Love this. Picks up hot lid, and is very stable. Build quality (welds) is a little rough. Doesn't anyone care what their products look like any more?
