Happy User (since 2023)
Its been over 3 years since I own this zipline, and I realized recently how well this product holds together and how much fun it gives to the youngest ones around me. Zip line is kept outdoors non stop for three years. Harsh winters, heavy sunny weather or rain - doesn’t matter, zip line kit goes stong another season. Money well spent, no regrets.

Planning is key but the instructions are super!
With the expected assembly difficulty of a tree hung zip line, this is a very easy system to assemble with clear instructions. I had to build a platform at the START tree to make it possible for our grandkids to actually get to the zip line starting point without danger. It was over 15 feet in the air and not a possible tree climb. But, after building the platform and ladder, the entire experience has been amazing fun for all! I tested it (185 lbs) and it held me just fine. The only other thing to keep in mind is the height of the line on the FINISH tree. I put ours at 7 feet to keep the angle of descent within suggested parameters. It works flawlessly, except that the little ones (aka 10 year olds) are so light in weight that they don't pull down much on the cable so at the end they have quite a drop from the seat. To my surprise, they figured it out with no problem. I plan to build a small landing platform for that purpose, but that is tricky. Heavier users could HIT the platform (if the platform is too high), and lighter users will still have a significant drop at dismount (if the platform is too low). Just be aware of these physical realities and you'll be fine.

**Updated**: Defective turnbuckle and (not so) empty promises.
**Update!** After writing the one star rating below the company quickly got ahold of me regarding the promised replacement pieces, which I then recieved in less than a week. Apparently they had been out of the office and my second email about shipping ETA and tracking number had been overlooked. (Why the parts weren't sent after the first communication with them is unknown). I will still give the product four stars because the zipline itself is doing what I wanted it to do and the kids love it. I believe we just got the one lemon of a turnbuckle, otherwise it would have been perfect from the start. I would not give it a full 5 stars because of the problems with the communication with the company. Overall though, it was a good buy and one I do not regret. Original rating: We bought the 50 ft zipline which did not come with a seat. It was pretty easy to install with two adults. It had one major safety issue....the turnbuckle seemed to be defective. We had it all set up and tighten and were ready to fly. But any pressure on the line caused the turnbuckle to spin almost completely unsrewing itself. MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN!! We immediately contacted the company via email and happily got a speedy response. They promised to send a new turnbuckle and a seat for our troubles. That was weeks ago and we have recieved nothing. I sent a second email asking about delivery and a tracking number and have had no reply. My guess is they are waiting for the return window to close so they don't lose any money from us returning the zipline. Bottom line is if there is a problem don't expect any real help from the company. Besides the turnbuckle, everything else seems to work fine. We were so excited about the zipline ( and expected a new turnbuckle soon) we did replace the defective turnbuckle with a heavy duty clasp rated for 1900 lbs. (Not taking any chances). It works but you can't get the line as tight as you would with the turnbuckle. But even with the slight slack it works great for the kids. And an old swing worked for the seat. I will update my review if we ever receive the promised new turnbuckle and seat. Just disappointed a company made empty promises.

Simple to install, no tools or trucks needed!
The fact is, putting up a zipline on your own is daunting. We didn’t initially think we could do it ourselves, but then opened the box and realized it was much simpler than we had imagined. Here’s the nitty gritty; The box comes with everything you’ll need. The only things you’ll need are a socket wrench, a total of two people, and a ladder. The instructions are simple. Truly. If you get confused about something, there are videos you can watch. I only needed to watch a video for 10 seconds to confirm something, but it’s otherwise as simple as can be. I’m a mom of two. My husband and I set it up in about an hour or so without anything fancy, and without much frustration. Tip: When you’re attaching and tightening the zipline to the end point tree, attach the clamps one by one. Attach one as taut as you can (don’t worry if it’s pretty loose) that’ll hold the zipline in place. Then attach the second one, and while the second one holds it in place, loosen the first and tighten it using the second one as leverage. Then attach the third one, using the first two as leverage. This way, you continue tightening the zipline using the tension and leverage from the clamps one by one. You don’t need a truck (lol) to pull the line taut. You simply need to use your head! That’s one of the reason there are three clamps. Use them to your advantage. It’s sturdy. Very sturdy. My 235 lbs husband can easily slide across. No issues, no lag, no problems. If we can do it, you can too! The kids are overjoyed having a zipline in the backyard. It’s definitely the best investment we made this summer (after the pool) because with how 2020 has been, we need all the in-home fun we can get!

Awesome BUT INVEST IN ADDITIONAL TENSION TOOLS
We purchased this zip line after hours of countless research on the internet for an affordable unit that comes with just about everything you need. Instructions in this thing are pretty straight forward. However, here is where they must think we are all Hercules. The cable stretched out (for us 85 ft) is extraordinarily heavy. They state in the directions that the kit comes with everything you need. To be frank that would be true if you have 5 adults helping you assemble. For myself, it was just my husband and I and our semi helpful 5 kids. It states the tension can be revealed upon installation by people holding sticks or brooms to support the weight as you stand on a platform/ladder attempting not to fall lifting what feels to be a million pounds tensioning the cable. I with the help of two kids lifting slack and my husband were unable to make it tight enough. DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR; BUY A CABLE PULLER AND A CABLE CLAMP TO HOLD IN PLACE UPON INSTALLING. Other than slightly tricky set up, it is AMAZING I highly recommend for the price! It has far paid for itself in the fact that my kids play on it constantly! It is very safe (when installed as recommended) and now that I know what i am doing and have the correct tools I would probably be able to get this thing installed in under 2 hours with one adult handy. SO MORAL OF THE STORY either have a lot of friends (strong friends) or spend the extra 50 bucks on the two other items needed to save you the headache! Other than that great product very happy!!!

Solid, high quality product. Excellent customer service.
The zip line hardware is of excellent quality, thick and sturdy steel. The trolley itself is heavy and solid with nice, high quality seeming rubber grips, and the trolley doesn't flip over even if there is no seat attached. The customer service is as good as promised - I sent them an email and they emailed me back by the next morning. It was "relatively" easy to put up. The assembly is straight forward enough. The hard part is getting the slack out of the cable, which weighs a ton. I did it by myself once, but it was quite a bit of work, loosening one U-bolt, pulling as much cable as I could, re-tightening the U-bolt, maneuvering a ladder around under the middle of the cable to lift it up, etc., to get it as tight as possible by hand, and then tightening down the top turn-buckle nearly all the way. The second time I did it (we moved from one set of trees to another), I borrowed a ratcheting tool specifically designed to pull up the slack from a friend who also has a zip line. That made it MUCH easier, although its an expensive tool that you basically are going to use once or twice. So I would recommend just trying without the ratcheting tool, but probably two people to get it as tight as possible. Ours came with a heavy plastic block attached to a thick bungee cord as the brake system. The plastic block has a hole in it through which to thread the zip line and then it slides until the bungee reaches its limit. It seemed pretty solid and worked well, but after about 8 months, the zip line started cutting the hole in the block wider. I contacted customer service, and they emailed back right away and said they'd switched to a steel spring brake system and would send me one right away. Sure enough a few days later it showed up, no fuss. The zip line is a lot of fun. It was a hit at our daughter's last birthday party and inspired some friends to get one (the friends who have the ratcheting tool). And its pretty good exercise probably - like with sledding, once the kid has ridden down, they have to run back up the hill with the trolley in tow. Grown-ups have been known to take a turn now and then as well. I highly recommend this product.

Easy install, kids love it
Putting this up may seem daunting, but don't let it be. My wife and I had it up in about two hours. A lot of the time spent was just rereading directions to make sure we didn't have to re do anything. However, the instructions are very detailed and easy to follow. Additionally, we emailed with a question about distance between trees and cable length and had a response within just a few hours.
