Helpful little Grip
Very helpful little Thumb Grip. It helps to steady the camera. An additional benefit is that you can slide the Thumb Grip into the front of your shirt, etc and stabilize the camera on a sling to the front of your body and keep it from swinging around. Very well made, although I had to modify it a to install on my camera.

Small accessory, Big difference!
An indispensable addition to the Fujifilm X-M5 is the SmallRig Thumb Grip with Hot Shoe Cover. Stability and confidence are immediately increased when shooting thanks to its solid metal construction, which feels high-end and blends in perfectly with the camera body. Particularly during longer sessions, when the X-M5's small form may otherwise feel a little constrained, the extra grip makes a significant difference. The only minor inconvenience is that it makes it a little more difficult to reach the Q button. However, this can be readily resolved by remapping the quick menu to a different button. Overall, that small annoyance is greatly outweighed by the ergonomic improvement. This thumb grip is more of a necessity for anyone using the X-M5 than an add-on.

Icing on the cake
The X-M5 is super compact, which is great, but it can feel a little insecure when shooting one-handed. This thumb grip fixes that instantly. It gives your thumb a natural resting point and adds just enough leverage to make the camera feel more stable, especially when shooting on the go.

Good grip
Gives a good grip to your camera, not so much of a fan of the hot shoe. You need to screw it in so now when you try turn on the camera you end up unscrewing the hot shoe. You specifically need to turn on off from the front. Otherwise a good product

Small, cheap and very very useful
Despite being sold as a X-M5 accesory, it fits my X-A1 like a glove and improved handling a lot.

Thumb grips can be great.... but not this one.
I use thumb grips on a lot of my cameras. Some designs are great, some not so much. I love the smallrig X100 grip, fits well and doesn't hide any buttons. The X-M5 version however? It's poorly designed/shaped. First off why are people buying the X-M5? Because it's small. That's the ONLY reason to choose it over other options. This grip is not flush with the top of the camera making it taller. This will now catch in any pocket you could fit this camera into... On top of that, when going for a smaller camera body there are compromises made with the controls on the camera. The X-M5 has less buttons -vs- the normal fuji layouts. It's workable but you need to be able to use ALL the buttons fuji has given us. Again because of the shape of the thumb grip, the Q button is now impossible to use. I'm not saying it's hard to use, I'm saying it's impossible. It's right against the grip and the grip is taller than the body at this point. The most confusing part of all if this is with the layout of the X-M5 and it's lack of a proper rear wheel, the thumb portion of this grip could have been moved down, made it flush with the top of the camera, made it for a better grip, and kept the ability to use both the EV/dial and Q buttons accessible. I can't understand how this design was the best they could do. It should be bent down and further right in the silver section below the EV wheel and above the black portion in my last pic. Of all the fuji bodies I've owned (almost all with a hotshoe thumbgrip) this body has the most obvious design option that doesn't get in the way but it wasn't used here.

Great Product
Fits the camera and and the soft touch button is great. Feels premium and matches the camera aesthetics. Perfect accessory for Fujifilm XM-5. Though note that q (quick menu) gets hidden a bit not too bad.

très bon matériel
Super pour mon XM5, attention seulement à l'accessoire "hachette" qui peut se dévisser facilement.

Nice Quality, But Not Essential with L-Grip
This thumb grip is well-made with solid build quality and fits perfectly. The added shutter button is a nice touch for easier shooting. However, if you already have an L-grip on your camera, this feels a bit redundant unless you really need extra grip. For the price, it’s a good add-on, but not a must-have.
