I had been kicking around the thought of an inflatable Spa/Hot Tub for a while. The obvious concerns being is it worth it! Are the bubbles strong enough? Will it get hot enough? Will it be sturdy enough to be outside? All the things that most people would wonder when looking. My situation is somewhat different in that I work full time in VA but live in PA. In VA, I stay in my 5th wheel RV – Think Glamping to the Extreme. I have a Jacuzzi at my house in PA and well…yeah, I needed something for VA that was “portable” that I could break down and move if needed – like all of the exterior of the RV (See pics). I did my research and after months of putting it off, reading review after review and filtering out those that either didn’t understand what they got or literally got a bad product, I finally bit the bullet. I had my eye on a 6 person Intex PureSpa. I was impressed with everything about it. Only problem, it was too big for where I was wanting it. I then looked at their 4 person spa – Perfect size of 77” round and 28” H (outside diameter). The main seller features that drew me to Intex are: • Solid Construction: Fiber-Tech Beam • Hard Water Treatment Buit In • Heated Air Bubbles! (most do not heat the bubbles) • Energy Efficient Cover • 120 Jets Size Concerns: I was concerned with it being large enough for 4 people, especially after looking at the pictures in the description (photoshopped clearly) and reading several reviews (other units) where people were unhappy with the size. Well, those complaining must have been NBA players, because it is plenty big. I am 5’7” and when sitting, I cannot reach the other side. I have the water ¾ between Min and Max and to reach the other side, I literally must stretch out fully. My wife is 5’3” and I ordered a seat for her, or she would have to sit on her feet. Motor Noise: The other item I heard repeatedly was the motor noise. I included a video of the unit powering up. I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. In fact, the bubbles were louder than the motor! As for the motor, it is plenty strong for bubbles. Again, see the video. Now, right now in VA the temps are 70’s. I keep the temp at 104 degrees (Max) and with the inflatable insert and insulated cover, it maintains that heat easily. It was 65 degrees one night when we got in. The bubble will run for 30 min before turning off. Even thought the bubble are heated, the temp does drop some in use. Starting at 104 and running for 30 min, then temp only dropped 4 degrees in the 65 degree temp outside. I can live with that. Options: The unit I purchased included: The spa, motor, inflatable top insert, insulated full cover (goes all the way to the bottom of the tub and is fully insulated), a round heavy duty bubble wrap type mat the tub sits on, hose to inflate/deflate the spa, small chlorine ball, two filters, test strips and a heavy duty bag to store it in when stored for off season. I purchased some other things that I also highly recommend (pics included in review): • Hot Tub Mat for Inflatable Tub, 77IN Hot Tub Pad Foundation, Upgraded Thickened Eva Foam Padding – ½” thick foam that when added to the include mat above, make for comfortable sitting. • Intex 28500E PureSpa Attachable Cup Holder and Refreshment Tray – A must for relaxing with drinks. I bought two. • Bestway SaluSpa Underwater Durable Non Slip Swimming Pool and Spa Comfort Seat with Adjustable Height Legs and Weighted Feet – Perfect for my 5’3” wife. • SaluSpa Padded Pillows (2-Pack) – honestly, I could have done with out these, but if mama ain’t happy…. So yeah, we have two. Setup: Setup was relatively easy despite the instructions being a little vague on some things. Because I have it at my RV and a tankless water heater, I used warm water to fill it, speeding the heating process. I set the unit up late one night and it was fully heated in the morning when I woke up. NOTE: READ INSTRUCTIONS on Dos and Don’ts! Overall Review: Again, I was skeptical about how effective these inflatable units would be. I would absolutely buy this again! It is solid construction, quiet, well insulated and has surprising power for a 110ac unit. Do your homework, research, compare. This unit fit what I needed, and I am very pleased with it. Your situation may be different. It comes in a single package that is roughly 110 lbs! Mine arrived in perfect condition, but I read several reviews where they arrived damaged. Like any product ordered, if it comes in damaged, check it carefully or reject it completely. If you have never owned a pool, spa or hot tub, I highly recommend reading up on chemicals. While they are easy to maintain, they do take a little effort to keep the chemicals balanced. Best bet if you’re new, take a sample of your spa water to a local pool store to test. They can tell you what it needs so you don’t have to mess with test strips or figuring out what is needed! One Important Note: If you are used to a full sized jacuzzi and think it is the same, you will be disappointed! Those are 220v systems, so heating is quicker, jets are stronger, and they maintain a constant temp while in use. These inflatable units are 110v, so they will not keep up the heat, though they do a good job for just being 110v!

One of the best purchases I have made. It's fun for the whole family and really is relaxing. The setup is very straight forward and instructions are very clear. The fit is exactly as the specifications called for. The quality is exceptional, no defects and I feel like the construction is aamazing. The pump blows up the hot tub using the proper fitting which is a huge help, no need to find an alternative way to fill the air up. I went with Intex because of my past experience and history using their products and of course other reviews which confirmed my own experience. I was missing the 2 inlet and 1 outlet fitting from within the spa and I called their customer support and they were absolutely amazing and are sending me out the missing parts without any hassle. Very happy with this product and have been able to use it 4 times in the past few days. The kids really enjoy it and my wife and I look forward to using it to unwind.

UPDATE: I went through the process 3 times with Intex. They make you cut the cable and mail it back to them for the 2nd replacement (at your expense). Third time's a charm, right? WRONG. Pump threw E90 within 2 hours. I finally gave up, drained it, and took it to the dump where it belonged. I got nothing but stress from something that's supposed to be relaxing and also cost me hundreds of dollars. I believe that Intex should be sued for this. They are well aware of the issues and still sell these defective pumps. They make you jump through so many hoops that I think they know you'll eventually give up. Do not give them your money, EVER. Less than a month after we set it up, it started throwing the e90 code and would not work. After spending hours back and forth with Intex, scrolling Reddit, and multiple YouTube videos, nothing worked. Contacted Intex and they honored the warranty and sent a replacement. Within 24 hours, it throws the e90 code again. Now I have 2 non-functioning pumps and a spa that I cannot use. The punchline? You need to drain the water before you can install a replacement so I spent all day doing that and wasting water to refill it. I am disgusted by the poor quality and I know that Intex is aware that this is a major problem with their spas. I will never buy their products again because they are knowingly selling these defective units. You cannot even buy one because they discontinued the model, yet they still sell new spas with it and use the to replace the other defective ones. Very dishonest.

Love it! Pretty easy to set up. Using the salt water converter. Still working on balancing the levels but great for the price! Cover keeps it warm! But a little tricky to put on. My only complaint! Great for the price!

I ordered this spa to gain a hot tub without having to spend $$$$ thousands $$$$ to do it and this was a success. It's a decent working spa for winter that I can pack away in summer to free up patio space. I ordered it from Amazon directly (not 3rd party or fulfilment) but the box arrived totally beaten up (see photo) so I was concerned with its' size and weight that once I unbox it if it were a damaged item then I'm stuck trying to package it all back up and ship back for return (ugh!) but it turned out to be fine. A different Intex insulating cover was in the box, black instead of tan, and doesn't have the male end clips to lock into the female end clips attached to the tub body so not lockable as is specified but this cover comes all the way over and fully down the sidewalls of the tub so provides better insulation then the normal one which woukd just cover the top and only come down just to the level of the lockable clips so I'm not complaining. Everything has worked fine, would prefer it come with a multi color LED light installed like some other Intex models do but I added a suction cup after market one on my own. The only big knock would be that the unit took 26 hours to first heat the initial tap water fill-up to 102 f (Bay Area California in early November so not freezing temps outside), and once temp was 97 f it was about 2 hours to gain each degree thereafter so heating takes longer than desirable but remember it's only a 120-volt unit plugged into a normal wall outlet rather than 240-volt unit similar to legit built-in spas. The cover does a great job insulating the tub so once heated it is fine thereafter at maintaining temp. For covering up there is an inflatable disc thing (it's seen in 2 of 3 photos) provided that sits floating on top of the water full inside diameter of the tub followed by the insulating fabric cover which also is inflated and so all of that prevents my cat from sinking in/drowning when he jumps up on it, he just walks across it. The control unit has a built in GFI on the power plug, then my exterior outlet has one built in too for redundancy. I spent an additional $100 on chemicals but have learned for the most part some granulating bromide and a floating bromide feeder would have been close to enough, maybe a bit of pH adjustment too for getting started. I'm only using it for winter so I only need about 4 months worth of water which can be done with moderate water treatment if not changing out the water or with less chemicals for treatment if doing a change-out or two of the water in winter. "6-person"...not really. Nice for 2, cozy for 3 with some minor inadvertent footsie, 4 can get in there but then definite footsie, 6 people would have to be kids who take up less space and don't care about footsie. Noise level is pretty quiet when just running the heater, but inflating the tub and cover is definitely not for late in the evening if next-door neighbors are close by, and then running it with bubbles turned on isn't as loud as inflation but certainly not as quiet as just heating...probably want a good relationship with neighbor next door if running bubbles long and probably can't late in the evening. 4 STARS. Not 5 stars because the unit takes awhile to heat up water and because the tub doesn't come with a light. But not 3 stars because it's such an affordable alternative to having a real spa get built in...and it can be easily packed away for the season whereas built-ins can't. The product is too inexpensive by comparison and so easy to setup and use to knock the rating down to 3 stars.

I purchased this inflatable 4 person hot tub this week and it arrived earlier than expected. I also purchased the 1/2 in. EVA foam padding (77 in. circular) for under the hot tub. I placed the included pad underneath the foam. I was able to assemble the hot tub, cover and power unit by myself, (58(f) 5 ft. tall). I did quite a bit of research and this tub seemed to have the happiest purchasers. Customer service was prompt and (mostly) helpful. None of the tubs I looked at had high review numbers but this one had over 2,000 reviews and a 4.1 rating. I attempted to plug it into my exterior carport GFCI. The cover on my outlet obstructed this so I purchased an inline GFCI 12 gauge power block that I then plugged my hot tub cord into. I'm still having my electrician check out the situation, but so far so good. It took the expected 2 degrees per hour to heat up to 104. Got into it last night for the first time and it was glorious. I filled it between max/min and am able to sit flat and have my neck and head above water (remember, I'm 5 ft.). Motor noise when idle is very quiet with typical loudness for a hot tub when the jets are going. Chemicals DO NOT come with the hot tub. I purchased a set of chemicals for $99 for inflatable hot tubs. I prefer bromine to chlorine. I saw mixed reviews on the longevity of the tub using bromine vs. chlorine. I was able to get my water stable rather quickly (I've owned hard side tubs so I know the ins and outs). The box it came in was pretty heavy but they delivered directly to my carport and with some maneuvering I was able to get it unboxed pretty easily. The box had some crushing on the corners and LOTS of tape on it, but all the parts and pieces appeared to be new and undamaged. I intend to keep it up all year. I live in northern Georgia. Some of the reviews say the tub has a tendency to leak, etc. From what I understood many of these that leaked were packed up and unpacked. While the directions say it can be shut down and packed up for the winter, my guess is it's hard on the tub and may cause it to leak. If I can remember to I will edit my review later on and let you know how it's working out. I'm VERY pleased with it for the money. It's not a hard side tub by any stretch, but if you like strong bubble action and soaking, it is absolutely amazing! Edit: So far so good. I’ve used this every day since I set it up. It definitely keeps the temperature. My inner cover has lost inflation. Trying to figure out how to re-inflate it without attaching it to the powerhead. I’ve Used a bicycle pump and a tire pump and neither of them seem to be able to pump it up. Still loving it. November 11, 2024. Still using it almost every other day absolutely loving it. I had to add a little bit of water to it about a month in. Bromine is working great as are all the other stabilizing chemicals. If I didn’t say this before buy this now. Edit: March 24, 2025. Still fantastic! Used it all through the winter. The insulated cover kept the heat in very well. I wish the insulated cover had handles on it. It gets a bit awkward taking it off and putting it on. Edit: End of April 2025. Sad to say the control base has started leaking water. :( Apparently, it's a thing. I've drained it and am watching YouTube videos. I'll try to fix it.

For the price, I can't complain at all. It has been very sturdy with no leaks (water or air). It's been running all summer non-stop and we use it multiple times a week. The only down-side is the heat loss when using the tub. The temperature tends to drop anywhere between 3 to 8 degrees in 1/2 hour depending on temperature outside.... so continued use beyond 45 minutes to an hour is usually not very comfortable. Regardless though, we have really enjoyed this and believe it was well worth the price. Additional Notes: * Two adults (me at 6'1 and my wife at 5') fit very comfortably. Can't imagine a 3rd person fitting comfortably though (4 people would be crazy tight). * It does take about two days to heat the tub up during initial setup. * Per another review, I added 3/4 inch foam insulation board below the tub (two 4x8 pieces taped together and cut into a circle) since the tub sits on jagged pavers. This was a great idea as I believe it does help keep the heat in and eliminates the possibility of puncturing the bottom of the tub on something sharp. Additional purchases we made for the tub: * Intex seats (2 pack), but I'm too tall to use mine and my wife needs it to stay above the water line. * Intex head rests (2 pack) and we never use them. They' don't stay in place and aren't very comfortable. * Intex in-tub LED lighting... my wife loves this. It's really nice at night. * Intex cleaning kit. Works as noted, but a little pricey as any kit will do the job. * Intex filters (6-pack). Rinse them weekly and replace them monthly with no issues. * Clorox Pool & Spa Xtra Blue 1" Chlorinating tablet. Fits in the chlorine ball perfectly and does the job (you will need these immediately after setup). * Test Lab 5 in 1 Spa and Hot Tub strips. Only get a few with the tub.... so you will need more. * Additional chemicals as required as you test.

Update: 2 years 3 months from purchase... So my PureSpa tub was full of black flecks constantly and I just kept taking them out with a small net but was very confused as to how they were getting there. I eventually took it apart to find a non-replaceable piece was literally disintegrating. Contacting Intex, my tub is out of warranty now and I will need a whole new base for $350 with shipping included. Not really happy about this, but I guess everything has a natural lifetime before it wears out. Still way cheaper than buying an actual hottub. Update 1 year from purchase... Ended up purchased new pump assembly from Intex after trying to fix the degrading shaft several times. In hindsight I wished I had just paid the $40 and replaced it to start with! Runs well again. Review goes back to 4 as I love this thing but am a little frustrated with it breaking so easily. I cannot be the only one this happens to and Intex must know it too. Update: 10 months from purchase E90 errors are constantly shutting this down. This error shuts down the pump/motor (so it doesn't burn out) when there is no "flow" of water. This can be caused by several things (clogged filter, poor chemical maintenance, something blocking inflow of water from the 1 actual working filter) and I worked my way through testing and solving for each. Then the real problem reared its ugly head. After checking out YouTube videos, I decided to take the filter assembly apart to find the culprit. The pump motor has a shaft that was broken... hence the error. I replaced the ceramic shaft with a brass (must be non -ferrous!) shaft, put it back together and we were in business... for 4 days then E90 returned. I reopened the motor to find that the new brass shaft was torn apart (see pic) because the assembly itself is unbalanced. I love this thing but a new motor appears to cost $43- love to hear from Intex via this review as no one answers their phone line and their website is unusable to resolve issues. I would love to return my review to 4 stars again. Order arrived in a couple of days despite size, weight and Corona virus timing... very pleasantly surprised. Hot tub set up in 15 minutes and filled with hose over 2 hours. It did take 2 days to heat up but it was 50 degrees outside, so not surprising. All very basic and simple to do solo. Used it several times now and am very happy with this purchase. It really is sturdy and the bubbler is nice. Top fits on well with clips to keep it on during stormy weather. Heater and filter cycle on and off as expected. After reading many reviews, decided to use Spa Selections bromine tablets and crystals to keep water at a healthy level. Hey this is what it is, and my expectation is for it to last 2 or 3 years outside, but well worth the price to get some relaxation. I will update this review next year.

The tub is nice and easy to set up. cover broke, motor broke. thank goodness for the wonderful staff and warranty program it was all replaced. Would recommend this product despite the flaws because they did cover it without hesitation. Nice tub to enjoy and relax!

Llego mucho antes de la fecha. Lo he usado poco pero funciona perfectamente. Batalle un poco con las instrucciones pero en general es muy fácil de armar/inflar. Calienta lento pero muy bien. Casi no hace ruido la maquinaria. Las burbujas salen por toda la orilla en la parte de abajo, así que desde cualquier punto te da masaje.

What an absolute piece of garbage. First there are no up-to-date videos on how to assemble this junk. Second the construction and quality of the product is terrible. 3rd and most important after assembly the unit failed and I spent close to an hour on the phone with their customer service to get a replacement unit to heat the water. Stupid me thinking that if I spent a little more money on an inflatable then what was being advertised I might get something that was decent.
