Great Value for money at £319, upgrades needed
The config i purcased for the £319 was the ryzen 5 7330u - 8gb DDR4 - 512gb NVME, 16" WUXGA with the exact notion of upgrading the memory and the SSD myself, most places online state that 16gb is the top for this board as 8gb is soldered on and cant be removed however thats not true, I fitted 16gb on top of the 8gb and its running in a asynchronous Dual channel state and showing all 24gb, Runs very well, the only thing i did not think i would need to change is the Wifi Card, its got a Mediatek wifi 6 card that is seriously underperforming, test fitted an older intel Ax200 card and its night and day. After christmas ill invest in a broadcom 1200ac and ive got zero issues with the system at this point. Normal laptop keyboard, nothing to write home about, trackpad is a bit cheap but works well, i mostly use a logitech MX Master anyway, screen is great for a daily driver and light gaming but for anything to do with image or video editing id want better. Again its all about what you pay vs what you get and for what ive spent so far including the upgrades its still way cheaper than the competition options at £499 for simalar specs. hope this helps

Arrived with an unsupported version of Windows
The laptop itself is great (I bought it for a senior with disabilities and it has a big screen, big clear keys and a big track pad with a nice obvious click) but it arrived with an unsupported version of Windows 11 installed. It needed about 20 initial updates, including the 23H2 update which was a bit of a nightmare. The 23H2 update failed to install the first time, uninstalled itself and then kept failing. I ran the Update Troubleshooter which found a couple of issues but installation still failed. Then I downloaded the update direct from the Microsoft Update Catalog (not through Windows Update) and that also failed. Then I reset the laptop and reinstalled Windows from the cloud. Windows Update still wouldn't download 23H2 but now I managed to download it direct from Microsoft. After I'd finally installed 23H2 I had another 13 updates required. This all took about a day and a fair bit of online research about solving 23H2 update issues. Given that the 23H2 update was released over a year ago, I was surprised that a new Windows 11 laptop didn't have it preinstalled. So, good laptop but be prepared that it may not have 23H2 and the necessary updating may be time-consuming and fiddly. I'm glad I got it delivered to me to set up and pass on. If I'd got it delivered direct to the user they would have found all this impossibly complicated.

Poor warranty Service
The laptop’s performance is fine for its price, but the charger became faulty after about a year. When I contacted Amazon for repair, I followed their advice and sent the charger to the authorized repair service. After about 10 days, the service returned it, saying it is ineligible for warranty, and they are unable to complete the repair without receiving the laptop. That was disappointing because I tested the laptop with another charger, and it worked fine. It’s clear that only the charger needs replacement. Unfortunately, there’s no direct way to contact the warranty service, which makes the process frustrating and time-consuming. Overall, I’m quite dissatisfied with how this was handled and will think carefully before buying Asus products again.

The best money/product notebook that you will buy
It's a great working tool, you can make a lot with it. I'm using it for video editing, and it works amazingly as a gamer notebook. The keyboard is not retroilluminated, but it's easy to use. 100% recommended
