Great fan, easy to install, used different drywall screws. Not loud but of course you can hear it while running. Able to exhaust all hot air from kitchen in a few minutes. Definitely a good buy. I installed a bit of frost king foam weather strip between the fan and the ceiling drywall to act as a vibration dampener. Worked like a charm.

I purchased the FanGoFast 8” kitchen exhaust fan to solve an ongoing issue with cigarette smoke coming from my neighbor’s apartment, and it has worked extremely well. I needed a fan to exhaust the heat from a lanai so the little A/C I have out there could al least have a chance of cooling the area down. I got this 8" fan for the same price as most other 6" models. This thing really does move some air, but a couple things to consider before you attempt installing this thing. The face of the fan is a stamped piece of steel, and as a result it has Very Sharp edge to it. It has a plastic shield to protect the edge but it slides off very easily, and if you aren't careful when handling it you'll end up with some cuts to your hands. Gloves are definitely a good idea. The other thing is that the cord comes out of motor which is inside the exterior face of the fan with the sharp edges. Because I had to plug this in outside of the fan edge I cut a section out of the corner of the exterior face of the fan, so the cord could fit through and be plugged in the the nearest outlet. The cord does have an off/on switch but I ordered variable speed controller so I don't have to run the fan at maximum every time I turn it on. One other minor issue is that the flappers on the outside of the fan move very easily so when it's off you will get some flapping back and forth depending on the wind. One last thing if sound level would be a problem this item isn't for you, it's pretty loud at full speed.

Moves a lot of air. Use it for a diy welding fume extractor setup and is more than enough to handle the smoke of flux core. Buy it!

I wouldn’t purchase again

It is not quiet. It's installed in a sturdibuilt shed and you can hear it in the house. My leaf blower is quieter. I also don't know what air it is moving because it's not removing odor or hot air. It might be made of metal and feels like good quality but it's not quiet enough for no home and it doesn't remove anything.
