Used it for about a month, and…
We’ve been seeing this little stray tuxedo cat around the neighborhood for almost a year. Only a month ago have we started to feed it. And now that we get to see the personality of this beautiful kitty up close, we are all in absolute love with her! She began sleeping on a regular cat bed (not enclosed) during November. And on one particular evening when a cold front came in I could see the cold wind blowing the trees around. I could see the fibers on the bed blowing around. And I saw kitty all rolled up in a perfect ball tucking her face in her body trying to keep warm. I knew I had to get an enclosed heated cat bed. So I bought the Petyella bed and set it up next to our outdoor laundry room. For several weeks she completely ignored it. Then I started to worry that if winter was anything like last year, she may have to endure 20 degree weather not realizing she had a heated bed to crawl in if she needed. So to get her familiar with her bed, I sprayed a few squirts of catnip oil on the bed. Then she immediately crawled in, rolled around a few times, then started rubbing her cheeks all over the bed. As soon as she sat up, she looked at me with a look on her eyes, like “hey this is heated, kitty like!” She’s been using it regularly ever since. And now I don’t have to worry about her when the weather gets cold. A couple things to note about this bed: 1) the bedding isn’t that warm to the touch. But keep in mind it doesn’t need to, because this is insulated and will be plenty warm to an animal inside. Using an infrared thermometer, the inner heating element gets just over 100 degrees F. Once the heating element is inserted into the bedding, the bed gets to about 80 degrees F. This was observed when outside temperatures were around 40 degrees F. This is New Orleans and this is about average temperatures during our winters. We’ll see if the inside temps. remain at 80 when outside temperatures dip lower than 40. If so, I think our kitty will be able to avoid most discomforts of the cold! EDIT: We’ve just experienced a week of fridged temps of 24-32 degrees (wind chill was 11). As temps degreased, I took 2 small blankets (each were plush material at 4’x4’ size), folded them over and laid them over the heated bed. With those temperatures outside, the inside of the heated bed was 75-80! Kitty was so warm and cozy that she rarely left her house! This bed has really saved her from much discomfort and possible frostbite! 2) If your cat is ignoring this bed, don’t force them inside. Instead, try putting catnip on the bed. They’re likely to ignore the bed no longer! 3) this bed has been through a couple outdoor rainstorms and has done really well. It isn’t entirely rain proof, but after several hours of rainfall (mind you, it’s up against an outdoor laundry room), I’ve noticed only slight dampness getting in through the flap(s). An ideal situation is to keep the bed under some sort of cover, while being able to reach an electrical power source safely. 4) I’ve read other reviewers say the bed is too light. That hasn’t been a problem in my case. It stays put. Our kitty has an easy going personality and doesn’t move the bed. Nor does the bed move when wind blows. Overall, this bed is awesome. It performs well under harsh conditions. And it is super cute! The picture I’m including in my review is of her in her bed, inside her little multch garden with a few little petsafe plants planted next to her bed. She even has her a little Christmas tree next to her bed! I think she has come to really like her heated bed!

My cats love it!
Originally I purchased one for my two outdoor cats. They are healthy, normal size adult cats. As I was assembling the house I noticed the interior might be snug for two adult cats but I went ahead and set it outside. One cat loved it from the start. I set the timer from dusk till dawn and the cat was cozy all night long. My other cat was not interested in the slightest for the first couple nights but as the nights got cooler the second cat ran the first cat out of the cat house. They would not share, nor was it big enough for two. So I ordered a second cat house and now they are both happy and warm at night. The house is easy to put together using the Velcro strips, though it is a challenge to get the Velcro strips lined up. The Velcro doesn’t quite line up with one another. It takes some finagling but it will fit together. The heating pad comes with a low heat setting. Just enough warmth to keep the temperature inside warm. It comes with 5 plastic feet that need to be attached, that keeps the house off the concrete or ground. I have them on my front porch, out of the wind and away from the weather. The cats love them. I have even found them in there in the day time when the heat isn’t on. It is a good solution to keeping outdoor cats out of the weather. Construction could be tighter but overall no complaints.

Fantastic Little House!!
This house is amazing! We live in Virginia and our winters can be cold, but not typically as cold as this year. I was very worried about outdoor critters when a storm/severe cold front was heading to us, so I purchased this house. I put it together easily and then set it on a flattened cardboard box outside. I put a large black trash bag over the top for added insulation from freezing rain/ice. I plugged it in and then we got hit by an ice/snow storm that was not as bad as when I lived in Chicago, but still very cold and ice/snow did not melt for weeks. It’s March now and I decided to bring the house in. It was super easy to fold it up. The thing that amazed me was that it was still warm and dry inside, even after weeks of wet/ice/snow/rain/extreme cold! Wow! Unfortunately, I don’t think anyone used it, but that isn’t the fault of the house. If you have any animals that might use this, do not hesitate to purchase it! It is just a wonderful little house and I’m going to keep putting it out each winter, just in case someone needs it.🦊🐭🐰

Very Pleased with the Purchase
First, please note that I am using this in a garage. We have a couple of cats that take care of the garage and surrounding area as we keep hay in there for our other animals. So the timer being indoor use only was not an issue for me (something I see was an issue for others). That said, I purchased the first one as the weather here is getting below 32 at degrees at night and the garage does not warm up much during the day. So I wanted to make sure the cats have a source of warmth during the night, just in case. First night, they both wanted to get in, but must have paper, rocked, scissored for the spot, as only one of them was in there in the morning. So I decided to get another one because the first one was a success. The house is a simple, sturdy design. Velcro sets it up, there is a padded floor, and then the little heating pad, which is soft and the cord not too much of a bother. You can set it up without a roof (one of the cats does not like to be enclosed while the other loves it) if that is desired. The cord is a good length in my opinion as I had several outlets I could reach from the spot I chose for the first house. The timer is a typical simple style one that could be replaced if necessary for a low cost (the house should last forever). The heat can be felt by hand, and it seems to be a good temp. for an animal. Warm but not too hot. I actually worried about too much heat as that would make the cats choose between too hot or too cold. I want baby bears bed....just right. I have only had the one for about a week and a half and the second should arrive today. So first impressions are overall good. I only gave 4 stars because everything should be outdoor safe since the house is advertised as an outdoor one. Having one component that is not safe outdoors means a secondary purchase is required for a totally safe setup. But the cost vs. the other heated options is good. I looked at much more expensive setups first and found that they did not offer much more than this one. Mostly size, and a more complicated design for the house which = higher costs. Not necessary in my case, but again I am using these in a garage, and not exposed to the elements.

Great product & price well worth it!
We bought this for a stray kitty that got a foxtail in his eye & required care for 2 weeks after removal of the foxtail. We had him in our cat patio but it still gets freezing cold in there. He took to this the first night & spends the bulk of his time in it. It's his safe place. Very satisfied. The materials seem high quality (the heavy cord on the heated blanket, the outdoor timer, the house itself). The price is well worth it, especially if you look at what a basic cat bed costs in comparison. This provides shelter, warmth, comfort. After we can let him back out, we will put his house out for him (under cover to protect from elements). Highly recommend. We did buy this one that was a little more expensive than the other design by same maker (it had a coupon too) because it had next day shipping. It ended up not getting here the next day but no fault of the seller! The seller shipped it the same day & the tracking indicated that there was a delay once it was on the truck (like traffic delays). But it's so worth it! Kitty loves it & it gives us peace of mind! Update: we ended up keeping kitty (Sammy) & he’s strictly an indoor kitty now who is neutered & finally lets us pet him and will sit on my lap. It took many months of always being slow & gentle around him, making blinky eyes at him, always going the long way around him in the house, and adopting the next stray kitty who took to the heated house who was not feral & is now Sammy’s best friend, for him to decide we’re not out to get him and allow us to pet him. He will sleep in our beds now. Our neighbor’s cat (who is strictly outdoors) likes the kitty house too. We’ve had it for years now & it’s still holding up, including the heated pad.

Easy to put together and the cats love it.
This works. My cats love it. It keeps them warm. It was easy to put together. It’s a reasonable price. It’s in the sunroom where I have two cats who prefer to be there. They love the house.

The best heated house you can buy, especially for the cold
I live in Ohio and I absolutely LOVE these houses. I had the older version for the last 3 years and they were still working great but decided I wanted the upgraded version. The newer version has legs for the bottom so that they are off the ground. That was the only true upgrade that they needed. I have them on a covered porch for my outside cats that spray even though they have been fixed. The problem that I had with the older version was when we would have a down pour. Now since these can be off the ground, I shouldn't have any issues. The only upgrade I would like to see in the future would be to have the hole for the mat cord in the back instead of the front where the cute lil addresses and home sweet home signs are. Because of this I keep that part towards the wall unfortunately. Other then that, they are WONDERFUL! I will continue to be a faithful customer as long as they sell this durable awesome cat house. They are super easy to put together and easy to clean. In the winter if it is really cold or we have deep snow, I cover the houses with a fleece blanket since it doesn't retain water and they dry quickly and they are great all winter with their houses, dining room and heated water bowl. Don't even think about it. Just buy it. They are worth it.

Update: Works great now. Big thanks to seller for replacing the heating pad!
I purchased this for a stray cat that has been showing up in my back yard. I felt so bad for her as it has starting getting cold out, and after reading many reviews on different weather proof cat houses, settled on this one. I’ve had this Weatherproof cat house for two months now, and was initially very pleased with my purchase. It worked well at first, but no longer heats up at all. It’s extremely frustrating as it was kind of pricey, and I didn’t even get 2 months of use out of it. Now I’ll have to figure out something else for the poor stray outside. Update: I reached out to the seller who’s customer service was super nice, and they replaced the heating pad for free. I’m now giving this product a 5 star review, as it has kept my feral cat friend nice and warm in below freezing temperatures.

Excelente calidad

Great weatherproof heated cat house.
This is a great cat house. I haven't used the heating pad yet as it stays indoors. It is made from a weatherproof/ waterproof material. It an easily be taken apart, collapsed, wiped down, and cleaned. There are 2 openings, one on the front and one on the back. It cames with 2 flaps/ doors, and legs.

I love it
Not made of wood, pretty solid though and a cushion to plug in keeps it pretty warm in the winter . I keep it under my gallery so the snow doesn't get to it but if it did , you just wipe it off.
