After reading the reviews for the Amazon Basic pen I added these cartridges to my cart for when the cartridges that came with the pen ran out (and they ran out quickly). I can confirm they fit the pen perfectly and the ink quality is so much better than the Amazon ones, it’s dark, doesn’t bleed, and I don’t have to hold the pen tip down for five minutes for the ink to run. Only downside is that it does smudge a bit so I don’t recommend placing your hand on your page over the writing for support since the ink dries a bit slow and it will stain your skin (the stain will go away with a couple of hand washes). Overall a great choice and I will be rebuying once I run out.

So far the first cartridge I used fit my Amazon Basics pen perfectly. Hopefully as I start using this all I won't have any issues with the cartridges. If so, will add a follow up review.

The cartridges do fit in the Amazon Basics Fountain pen, and they seem to me to be the same size as the refills that came with that pen. If you only push them in a bit, the fit is loose, they're basically stuck on to the part that pierces the cartridge, and it doesn't inspire much confidence. This will cause poor performance.PUSH the refill FIRMLY onto the piercing portion inside the nib, further than you think it should go.You should hear/feel a FIRM click when the cartridge is pierced.If you do this, the cartridge will start writing in a minute or two, and the ink will flow correctly.Once started they write with a bold, thick line, despite my pen having a fine nib.These work well enough if you make sure to load them correctly.

Don't listen to those saying these don't fit the Amazon basics pen! I almost didn't make this purchase due to the misinformation in the reviews. The ink cartridge fits flawlessly!! Not to mention the ink seems to be suburb quality, even better than what came with the Amazon basics pen.

I bought this to use with the Amazon brand fountain pen available on this site, and so far they've worked quite well. I wouldn't say the ink is of overwhelmingly great quality, but that's not something that's hugely important to me. These cartridges are easy to install, work well, and thus present a good value for the money. That's all I ask, but if you want more from your ink than that, you may find yourself disappointed.Although, if you want more for your ink than that I highly doubt you're buying generic cartridges by the dozen for your cheap fountain pen.

They don't come close to fitting in my Zebra fountain pen. When I tried them in my unnamed Amazon Basics pen that was recommended, these inks don't fit either. They come close, but if you press until you feel the advertised (less than) satisfying click, the face becomes deformed and leaks. Not even sure how these are supposed to stay in place at all, because they wobble and fall off into the body of the pen as soon as you try to assemble it.Skip these and buy whatever ink your pen is intended to use.

Good deep black color. Been using these for a minute now. No leaks and dries fairly quick.

Some of them were sort of broken or expanded from the front opening rendering them unusable because they would not snap into place. I say “most were fine” because that’s technically true but more were broken than I would have liked.
