To be honest, I was quite nervous about conducting this test, but after all the state of my gut, as someone with a modern Western diet, was rough. I have different digestive issues that have long gone undiagnosed and are largely overlooked by many. If someone continuously has stomach aches after eating, this is not normal and should be investigated. After all, the one person who is going to care most about your own health is you, the one who has to deal with the various ailments that might arise. **Please be sure to contact Verisana before doing the test/collecting the sample, as noted in the placard, otherwise it will be a waste of money.** You also need to call your local mail service(whichever mail service is used to send this test) in order to schedule the test on the right day. In my case, Verisana is still using FedEx, and the only days to do the test were Monday and Tuesday. But just make sure, as logistics might have changed whenever you are doing this. Maybe wear a face mask in case you are squeamish when doing this test. Also, be sure to stick the paper collection onto the correct area of the toilet to collect the sample accurately — make sure the sample does not come in contact with toilet water or anything that would/could alter the test results. Also, please make sure to label the test tube before you collect the sample because ew. Your pen might be scarred for life. Overall, I am glad that I had the chance to do this test, and I am still looking forward to seeing my results. Honestly, I suspect that I have an H. Pylori infection, however, I am not entirely sure about this. I would recommend this to friends, family, and everyone who wants to put their health first. Very convenient, especially compared to those cumbersome doctor office visits and exceedingly long wait times.

I purchased this last year because I was working on the road a lot and was unable to get to the doctors to have this lab test done. This was anything but convenient I went through all the steps in the packaging as instructed and three times. Had to have a new kit sent out to me because the sample was too hot in packaging, opened in shipping, somehow, or was simply too old. Even though I follow all the instructions and sent the sample out at the beginning of the week to prevent an issue with shipping. By the time I realized this was much more inconvenient ( and expensive) than going to the doctor, and loosing hope there will ever be a actual lab result, it was too late to issue my $250 refund as it had timed out. There may not even be a lab they test these samples with . Seems like a scam or a VERY poorly managed business. Don’t waste $250 like I did , schedule an appointment and do it once.

Having no prior experience with any home health tests beforehand, I was unsure of what to expect, especially in terms of the collection process. As the Comprehensive Gut Health Test, like other gut tests, requires a stool sample, I was initially quite anxious as to the steps involved. While I can't speak for similar products from other brands, I did like that Verisana included a very detailed set of directions to ensure proper analysis procedures were met. It is important to follow the included directions EXACTLY, especially with regard to (1) requesting a shipping label before taking the sample, (2) shipping the sample the same day that it is collected on a Monday or Tuesday only, and (3) signing all included documents. Overall, the process of collecting this type of sample was made far less complicated by both the detailed directions and the included tools. I felt that the way this product has been developed made the process as painless as possible, particularly given the usually uncomfortable nature of acquiring a stool sample. So far, the process has been far easier than expected. I am excited to receive my results and I look forward to using the report to improve my overall health.

I have been doing a lot of parasite detoxing over the last 6 months and was curious to see how my gut health was doing. The instructions were a little overwhelming at first, since you can only take a sample on Monday or Tuesday and need to email the company for a shipping label, but looking back now, it was very easy. I am fascinated by the results I just received today. My gut health is on par so it motivates me to keep doing what I’m doing. They test for mold, too, which I had been concerned about, and that looks great. The test provides an explanation for everything that was tested so if you want to take your research further on how to increase certain bacteria or how to combat candida, you can use the info specific for you and run with it; rather than treating yourself for an array of things that aren’t necessary.
