I have several iems ranging from affordable to exotic and wanted something more forgiving and “fun” sounding. Especially for rock, heavy metal and blues. I expected this iem to sound a lot “fuller” with it’s double dynamic drivers but that is not the case. The base is soft(but boomy), lacks attack and energy and the treble is shrieking making male voices sound thin and mouse like. Cymbal crashes is just a hit or miss (pun intended). Just how unnatural the tuning is was made even more obvious when playing a podcast with several persons of various sexes where the artificially lifted upper registers gave the voices a type of sibilance that sounded like a miniature ghost inside the iem hitting the drivers with a sledgehammer. “Distortion baby, loves me some distortion”. Oh but the fit is nice, really nice actually. And the light weight makes them feel like they are not even there. Just don’t play any music through them and you’ll be fine.

If you have a player that has an EQ these are fantastic - otherwise if you have flat/stock don't bother. I am extremely picky when it comes to audio. (I think I've purchased around 15-20 IEM's & Ear Buds looking for ones I liked.) When I first plugged the 7Hz Elua's in I thought "whoa too shrill, too much in the mid/treble range!". For example the "S's" on vocals sounded so sharp they came off sounding almost like static on the radio. However I've found all IEM's / headphones sound "bad from the factory" (seems each one always has some tone or tones that stick out over the music). However this is very easy to compensate for if you have an EQ! I have years of experience adjusting Equalizers (to make almost any IEM/headphones or speaker sound good within a few minutes). So I began adjusting the harsh tones out, (on the EQ) and suddenly I hit the Elua's sweet spot and these really began to shine! They sound very well rounded (aka balanced) and very defined, with *extreme detail and clarity* without shrillness or distortion now! A very strong point is their ability to separate frequencies/tones. If you don't have an EQ on your player then go with the 7Hz Zero:2's those are *fantastic*! (and they play back louder than the Elua's as well, they are also a bit smoother less shrill/crisp. Yet still extremely detailed, and like the Elua's the sounds are very separated and stick out individually.) I consider both 7Hz IEM's (Zero 2 / Elua) my TOP IEM's. I have included a screen shot of the EQ settings I found suited these IEM's when played back on my Burson Audio V6 Vivid op-amps. (keep in mind that every amp and player has it's own unique sound, and we have personal preferences, and the volume you play at also impacts how these sound... my included EQ settings here are generally for louder listening... this is because at louder volumes it naturally brings out the mids/treble... so there is no need for the IEM to add any) *Also on my Hidizs AP80 Pro High Res player I had to trim these frequencies down much further (to tone these harsh frequencies out, before they sounded balanced.) By balanced I mean no tones stick out over others and drown them out, a much more natural sound that instruments should have.

I have nearly all hbb colabs iem . When I see hbb tuning iem just buying . Sound; very bassy but detailed like 3d sounding and thumpy bass mainly subbass like sitting beside subwoofer not like ikko oh10 or hbb kai type bass . Basshead iem. Treble OK no harsh sound. Mids is OK. Need powerful source to get shine. Bit quieter need volume up . If you in budget and like bassy iem without muddy sound I recommend but I struggled between qkz hbb on budget iems I recommend to change cable and tips and. I really liked . HBB IS KING

In a world almost missing any wired headphones the Linsoul 7Hz x HBB Elua look like an interesting surprise. I must say, I bought these mostly for music and tried them for a while, using lossless music and external high-quality Bluetooth receiver. As for music stiles, mostly rock, metal and some electronic here and there. The V-shaped sound signature of these headphones is obvious right from the first song, and I would consider it a bit too much for most music genres. BASS: Due to the V-shaped signature the bass is present, albeit only from around 100 Hz upwards. Lower bass, coming from kick drums is not as present and, in fact, at times is shadowed by the mid bass. Clarity kind of lacks, many times the instruments cover each other. Still, the instruments are easily identifiable. MIDS: Here the response is not as pronounced. The voice is somehow recessed and not out there. Clarity wise things are OK, with clearly identifiable instruments. HIGHS: Here things are getting again overwhelming. On the transition area between mids and highs things sound OK with violins and guitars sounding clear. Hihats are quite loud, artificially loud compared to the rest of the instruments. SOUND STAGE: The spatial representation of instruments is good, with an airy atmosphere more similar to full size headphones than IEMs. EQ: Trying to apply some corrections using Bluetooth receiver's parametric equalizer improved the response curve quite a bit and made the headphones more appropriate for music with real instruments. Due to the way they sound, I would conclude that these headphones are mostly targeted at people listening to certain genres of electronic music. I would only recommend them for other genres of music after carefully applying the effects of an equlizer.
