This is great practicing words in groups but not a book

Love these books! Makes it easy for kids to start reading. The rhyming is catchy and my grandson always ask to read them.

I was concerned that my kindergartener didn't seem to be learning to read when a parent of a first grader told me to use these. He began reading in these books almost overnight. I bought all eleven of them! I highly recommend this series.

I love this whole series, beautiful whimsical illustrations, they are a great alternative to trying to shove the words on your beginning reader with flash cards!!!The kids love the pictures, they get enticed to read!The books have lists of words by family at the end also, works great!This one has the ack, ick, and ock families.Great, fun books, lovely pictures, the kids learn to read?! Awesome!

I love this book series. I just stumbled upon it b/c a retired teacher friend gave my son one of the books in the series. I figured there had to be more, and this was a sweet surprise.

My little 3year old nice loves all these book!! Get it is amazing having them read you the book and asking if you want to read it again!!!

For the price, this seems really high. The book is only a few pages long, and is really simple. It was a recommended book in the Hooked on Phonics series, which are usually very good, but this pick mystifies me. My child was totally uninterested in the pictures or text.
