Got this in the black friday sale. Can't go wrong for the price. Have had a few sets from this company and have enjoyed building all of them.

My first FO/Lumibricks build, and I am very impressed. As a longtime builder of the other brand, it is refreshing to see a competitor with equal quality, instructions and ideas. The realness of some of Lumi’s pieces can’t be beat - and the LEDs are well-thought out and placed. Fun build - takes about 8 hours.

My second purchase from this company. Quite a departure form the usual modular buildings you see. A very interesting theme to use. Mixing the graffiti and skateboards together in this build makes for some very interesting scenes and great little details. It has a great style and feel. Once again the brick quality is very good and the colours are consistent. All the decorated pieces are printed so there are no stickers. They also do a good job of hiding the wiring. There are 3 included figures which are fine considering they are restricted in how they are designed and also are appropriate to the theme. I am a big fan of the modular buildings and this one is done very well. Lots of access to all floors by removing a level at a time or by hinged pieces that let you get great visibility or access to the interior. Lots of nice tiles and details as well as some great lighting. The skids marks on the walkway along with the vending machine with lights are really nice touches. The build was pretty simple but still satisfying. It does take a bit more time to assemble since you need to run the wire through pieces as you build but the end result is worth it. Having previously built a set from this company I found that process much easier since you are experienced handling the wires. A really nice set with only a few minor gripes. They are still working through how the wires run and do offer custom pieces to support this but I found a few places it could have been done better but clearly an improvement over the previous set I had purchased. Also, when removing a floor you need to be very careful as the tiles that connect the lighting so the power continues floor by floor sometimes hold and cause the tile attached to the wire to come loose. Highly recommended and great value for money. Will continue to look at more of their modulars/buildings in future. I hope to see them offer more discounts on Amazon Australia like they do in the USA to make them a bit more affordable.

I've been collecting the Lego Moular Buildings since the Parisian Restaurant and I really love them. I also own two buildings from brickative that were sold by some Chinese companies. They look great but brick quality and stability were a bit lackluster. I also built the Wood Cabin from Fun Whole and it had the same issues as the two Brickative models plus i wasn't really happy how the lighting was integrated. Now the Skate Shop is something different. Great brick quality, awesome prints, stable design and the lighting is well built into the building, with the battery box well hidden. And what should I say, I think the Skate Shop is my new favorite modular. The building itself looks awesome and the lighting makes it even more beautiful and it was really fun to build. There are a few things that were not so great: the stop sign is printed wrong (should be turned 90 degrees), the drain cover should have benn printed on a square tile, not a round tile and the tiles with the visible skateboard tracks have a different color then the rest of the sidewalk - but maybe that's on purpose, like a special surface for skate boarding? Don't know, I'm not a skater myself. I don't like the minifigs from Fun Whole, but I know they can't use the same like Lego does so i appreciate that they add them, even if I will replace them with Lego Minifigs. One 1 x 12 plate came in the wrong color, but It is barely visible. You could also discuss if this set is an actual modular building. It sits on regular plates, not a baseplate and its width is not a multiple of 16 studs (26) so when you want to integrate it into an existing block that consists only of 32 x 32 stud buildings you have to fill the remaining 6 studs with something else. If you just have a single street, it will fit very well into your Lego modulars but be aware that it doesn't come with 1x2 technic bricks to connect it to the Lego modulars with black pins. Overall: there is still some room for improvement for Fun Whole, but the Skate Shop is a great set for a price that is a little more than some lighting kits for the Lego modulars. All floors have tiled floors, there is no single sticker, but a ton of prints, some span tow or more tiles and the print is nearly seemless. If you love modular buildings, I highly recommend this set.
