The CKD Retino Collagen Creamy Peel-Off Mask is officially my all-time favorite! I use it regularly, and the results are consistently amazing. It applies like a smooth cream and then turns into a thin film that is very satisfying and easy to peel off. My skin looks incredible after using it: super smooth, firm, and with a beautiful healthy glow. It’s very hydrating and leaves my face feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

CKD’s Retino Collagen Peel Off Face Mask ($21.00) seems exfoliating and hydrating at the same time. The instructions say to cleanse your face before applying it. Then to allow it to dry and become clear (20-40 mins) before peeling it off and patting in any remaining serum. Although the images online show the mask to be white when wet, I applied a thin layer. So, while wet, my face was not coated in white like the online photos show. As the mask dried, it felt like it was pulling at my face, and then when I peeled it off, it seemed like it was exfoliating it, but somehow, it still left serum on my skin, which felt hydrating. But, I didn’t feel like it was hydrating enough, so I added some additional serums before going to bed. This mask has some wonderful ingredients. I’ve included a list below. I hope with time, this will help my skin, but at this point, I cannot tell. The mask is fragrance free. It is made in Korea. And it is easy to use. I appreciate that unlike other collagen masks, this dries more quickly, and is thus less time consuming than the thick jelly ones. I’ve included photos of before and after, as well as of peeling it off to show what I mean by it being exfoliating. Love it and smell so good

This mask is an interesting hybrid of an overnight hydrogel face mask and a peel-off mask although it requires more effort than a typical hydrogel mask. The white cream formula is thin and runny which makes application messy. It tends to pool around areas like the nostrils if applied too thick, while too thin an application causes patchy removal. Drying time varies from 20-40 minutes depending on thickness of the application, during which you can't lie down without risking smearing it on your pillows. It has a strong sweet citrus scent which luckily didn't irritate my skin. And when it dries, it gets a strange, oily residue that sits on top of the mask. And I believe it's this residue that gives the skin the glow that the brand talks about. When applied correctly and given enough time to fully dry, the mask peels off cleanly in one piece. Using the mask does provide a really nice, boiled-egg-like glow. However, achieving this effect requires a specific application method, which isn’t mentioned in the instructions on the box or product listing. Through social media videos and my own testing, I discovered the best approach. First, apply all your skincare, including moisturizer, before applying the mask. Once you remove it, gently pat in the oily residue rather than rubbing it in aggressively. If you use skincare after the mask or rub the residue too harshly, the glow diminishes significantly. The mask does deliver on its glow and skin-tightening claims, but the effects are temporary. They start diminishing after about 2-3 hours in my experience. Since the brand doesn’t specify how often to use this mask, I researched general recommendations for peel-off face masks and the consensus is up to three times a week, depending on skin type. I have combination/oily skin but I only use it twice a week. While this mask doesn’t contain active or irritating ingredients, the peeling process itself can be slightly aggravating, especially for sensitive skin types. I would definitely use it right before special occasions. The tightening and brightening effects are impressive, but they’re at their peak immediately after use, making this an ideal pre-event mask.

This is a unique retinol mask that works very well. I would recommend putting on a slightly thicker layer so that it's easier to peel off after it's dry. Even still, a little goes a long way and each bottle will last a long time, making it a great value. It leaves my skin soft, glowy, and hydrated after peeling it off. I've tried leaving it on overnight and it didn't leave any mess on my pillow. This is a great retinol peeling mask.
