It's really good and it comes with a displayport lead!
Right then. Been using this new-fangled LG monitor for about a month now, and it's time for a verdict. When the box arrived, I thought, "Good grief, that's half the size of my shed door." Thought it'd be too much. I was wrong. For work, it's a godsend for these old eyes. I run one of those Linux contraptions, and I'll be darned if it didn't just work the second I plugged it in. No faffing about. The screen is so big I can have my code on one side and a web page on the other and still have room to breathe. Text is sharp as a tack. The colours look right, not all washed out like some screens. Most importantly, no eye strain after a long session. The youngsters will be interested in the games. Well, I fired up a couple, for science, and it was smoother than a freshly tarmacked road, a surface I'm beginning to believe is mythical. For the price, about £280, it feels like a steal. It's a solid, honest bit of kit that does exactly what it promises, and does it well. And here's a bit of wisdom for you: check the box before you go buying cables. It comes with one, a lesson this old fool learned the hard way. Bottom line: If you want a big, clear screen that just works, buy this one. It's good. Really good.

Solid 32" monitor
Coming from a 4K 27" panel (60Hz) I wanted to get a bigger size with higher refresh rates but wanted to save money on the GPU and avoid a 4K monitor, so I decided to go with the 32" 1440p. For anyone curious, 1440p at 32" is a notable step down in pixel density compared to 27" 4K so that took some getting used to. I would say for the price point and who this monitor is aimed at, it is a very solid choice. The picture quality is technically worse than my 27" BenQ but I bought that monitor specifically for photo editing. For gaming and general office use this is more than adequate and the 180Hz refresh rate is a notable improvement over 60fps gaming. One trick I have found to improve text clarity is to use Nvidia DSR (dynamic super resolution) to set the render resolution to 4K (2.25x) and let the GPU downsample back to 1440p. Not only does this make games look much sharper (it is essentially a better version of anti-aliasing), but it makes general Windows usage better as well.

Great monitor visually and design wise - but one dead pixel.
Really, really good monitor. Very sturdy, high level of colour accuracy and functions exactly as it says. Mine came with one dead pixel unfortunately but it's nothing to worry about too much. Would highly recommend this monitor.

Nice to come back to IPS again.
I was coming from a 1440 27inch Dell G-sync monitor from about 7 years ago which was more than double the price than this 32 inch monitor (at the time hardware G-sync bumped it if I remember right) I had more or less been happy with the Dell with the exception of its terrible handling of blacks, seeing very obvious banding. I wanted to go back to an IPS, go slightly larger, keep 1440 and sort the black issues (+hang on the wall) I've been using it for about a week now playing the same game as with my Dell (AC Odyssey) and I couldn't be happier. The blacks are sorted, G-sync works without stutter and colouring all looks good too. I chose this over the LG 75 (about £60 cheaper for the nano IPS as reviews had said it made a difference) I don't know how this stacks up against Samsung and all the other choices in the same bracket but I am happy with my choice. I was also concerned 32 would be too big but for me it's just right on the wall.

LG UltraGear Gaming Monitor 32GS85Q, 32 inch
The monitor itself is amazing for the price, setup was easy and instructions were clear, when you switch it on you have a little joystick type button below to navigate the different modes, but to get the colours, contrast, sharpness and other functions you have to go on LG.Com website and download the on screen app, now the picture quality and graphics are fantastic, you do get a DIsplayport cable in the box as well, refresh rate is really good or if you like playing RPG then expect nothing less than brilliant overall this is a really good monitor, I expected nothing less from LG, but I will say the monitor does not have internal speakers but then I use Bluetooth speakers anyway.

Takes 5-10 minuites to wake up from sleep and recognize input.
The monitor have a hard time getting back from sleep mode, never finds the correct output.. My widnows is up, my 2nd monitor which is a better brand the the piece of kaka that is LG finds input automatically and immediately, while this garbage still just blinking, not doing anything, I had to fiddle with the menu select inputs when after minutes if finally recognizing that there's signal coming for 5 minutes in the same input it always had and finally I see picture.. Low quality trash from LG.. Probably never give this grabage tier brand any money in the future.

Incredible image quality
Incredible upgrade from my 27inch 1080p 170hz msi monitor. I'd never had a 1440p monitor before this so i never knew the difference it'd make in image quality but i also never knew how much better colours would look with this new monitor, its truly a massive difference. The only thing i will say is don't buy this monitor if you're looking for heavy HDR use case as imo it looks worse than the factory settings

Dead pixel after a month
Best monitor I've ever had, but a month in and I've got a dead pixel, going to contact LG to see what they can do for me.
