Nice and light, and love the fact there is a shorter pull for quick and close holds on our walks.

This is a fantastic leash. The clip is the best that I have ever used. The wire gate makes it easily connected and disconnected with one hand. Even with gloves, even if you can't hold the collar D-ring or harness, it just works. Milled out of billet aluminum, with a stainless wire gate, swivel, and D-ring rather than cheaply cast out of zinc, this feels like a climbing carabineer compared to a keychain. The webbing is surprisingly light and thin. I honestly would have dinged a cheaper leash for cheaping out here, the other leash I have is much thicker. But it's more than strong enough to be a leash, like a ratchet strap. The combination of the special clip and strong but light webbing is strong enough to *hold my 160 lbs off the ground* - it will be fine for walking the dog. There is a padded handle, so it's not uncomfortable. It's 59" long - I think they must have been shooting for 5' +- 1", and just came up a bit short. The only downside of this light webbing is that it took a bit of training for my pup to realize when the leash was getting taut. It's not nearly as heavy as what she was used to. But she caught on after a couple miles. The grab handle at the collar is handy. My dog is just a bit too short to walk while holding it - we bump into each other. The handle part is about an inch longer than the main leash part, so while it's mostly flush it's easy to grab. The light webbing is nice when using this handle because it is almost unnoticeable bumping on my shins and calves when I hold the main handle with one hand and walk the dog on the other side. Another great Ruffwear product!

I've bought RuffWear items for years, and just bought a new set of harness, leash and collar for a gorgeous huge white 20-month-old LabraDoodle that just came to live with me! The set works well together, and I appreciate it; the padding is -- I'm not sure that "padded" is the right term for what the handle is. It's not padded; it's kind of thickly lined, but not very padded. That's what I'm taking the one star off for; find a better word for that. Otherwise, I love the color, love the strength, love everything about RuffWear items. One word to the wise, though: when I brought this new guy home, I had two RuffWear harnesses left from my prior dog (who died of cancer two years ago). I put the orange one on the new Dood and took him for a walk his first morning at my house, and on our return he took a nap on the floor beside me while I did something on the computer in the chair right next to him. I noticed him licking -- his arm? -- while I was immersed in my own little world. Turns out, he was biting his harness IN HALF across his chest. I thought RuffWear was indestructible! It's not. So now that we have this new set, I'm taking it off EVERY TIME we're done with our walk. Never leaving it on this guy indefinitely, again. Lesson learned. I could sew it back together, with a piece of nylon something or other to attach the two pieces together, and I may...but yeah, that surprised me.

The leash is actually better than I expected, very light and easy to grab, even when my dog pulls it didn’t hurt my hand.

we love this leash!! it's solid, comes in really nice colors, has an extra loop at the base for additional control if you need to hold your dog close, and the most important thing for me is that the clip is a unique design that makes it very easy to attach and detach from our puppy's harness. many leash clips are tiny, flimsy, and are hard to toggle open - this one is much easier, and the metal is really sturdy. i had a hand injury a while back so really appreciate that the leash is so easy to clip on and off with one hand while holding the dog! we have several other leashes, and this is the only one we really ever use now!

I was disappointed by the durability of this leash. I decided to lean into Ruffwear for my two pups. Outfitted them with an every day harness, every day leash, and every day collars. The harness hasn't worked the miracles I hope, but that's because dogs still need trained, can't expect a harness to do that. But for a brand called "Ruffwear" and marketed in the manner their products are, I expected more strength and durability. The leash is probably thinner than any other leash I've ever owned. I didn't think much of that at first, but the younger pup who likes to bite at the leash while it's being worn out of excitement during walks has just about finished chewing through it after less than three months. Again, some of this is for me to solve with training, but I'd still expect it to be more durable than that. Now it is lightweight, which is nice. The locking clip works really well. And the padded handle is a really nice feature. So it's not without positives. But I felt like it should withstand more biting than it has, and it's disappointing to need to replace it already.

If you don’t have a lot of time on your hands to research and look through countless reviews in the hopes of finding the perfect collar, leash and harness for your precious dog ( who of course deserves the best), look no further than RUFF WEAR.. The leash is lightweight and extremely sturdy. My dog has chewed his way through other leashes..but not his RUFFWEAR leash. The collar is also made very well and it is the only collar that does not bother him. NOW for the Harness. I have bought numerous harnesses in the past that my dog hides when he sees them. They have been too heavy, or pinch him under his front legs. The RUFFWEAR harness is constructed just right. All clips on all products are crafted for security. . All are good looking, comfortable, easy to adjust and well priced. The control I have while walking my dog with RUFFWEAR products ( especially when he sees another dog) can not be beat. I sound like a RUFFWEAR salesperson, but I am not. I just love dogs.

J'ai acheté cette laisse pour mon 2ieme chien. J'en possédais déjà une autre auparavant donc j'étais en terrain connu… Elles est faite de matériaux robuste, pas trop mince. Sa longueur de 5 pied est parfaite et son mécanisme pour "clipper" est très facile d'utilisation, avec seulement le bout d'un doigt. L'anse ou l'on tient la laisse est légèrement rembourrée ce qui rend la prise plus confortable, surtout avec un plus gros chien qui tire davantage.

Es la mejor marca. Duran años y son súper resistentes a todo. Solo compro productos de esta marca.

Resistente y a la vez muy ligera, no pesa nada. Tiene para sujetar al perro de cerca, está muy bien para momentos concretos. El cierre está pensado para que no se pueda abrir por accidente. Podría tener ya para ser perfecta algo de reflectante

This is my favourite lead for my dog, which is a ~20 kg border collie mix. The clasp is really easy to use as you don't have to push down on a knob to clasp it on, but just press it against the ring of the collar or harness. The lead itself has a nice padded handle, and it has a useful "built in" handle near the collar/harness which is good in traffic. Downside is that the leash cannot really be made much longer or shorter. I mainly use ruffwear harnesses, which are also excellent by the way. Only downside is that the dog tag is perhaps a little too well hidden in the pocket.

I ordered this leash to match the colour with a new Ruffwear Front Range dog harness I ordered. The crimson red is such a nice colour and it matches the Front Range perfectly. I like how there is a gradient red pattern going from a dark red to a bright red, it's not a single colour leash which looks really good! The clip/buckle that secures to the harness is well built and has a small slider that latches in to provide a secure fit. It does not seem to come off easily which is what you need. The main loop where you hold the leash is well built and I have attached a waste bag dispenser. It's not as thick as my last Kong leash that lasted me 10 years, hence I can't comment on the durability just yet. But I hope it lasts me at least a couple of years, if not more.
