Best dummy rounds for practice
These are way better than the original dummy rounds from back in the day. The ones that were maroon and got scratched up after the first use. The weight matches real ammo. Good quality and seems durable. You get 10 rounds for the same price as the other companies that only give you 5 rounds. The size and fit is accurate.

Good quality trainer rounds.
These trainer cartridges are really nice, and appear well-built. They have a polymer tip to simulate the projectile portion of the cartridge so there's no chance of damage to your feed ramp or chamber during function testing. The body of the casing is made of what appears to be good quality metal (I don't know what type of metal, but it seems of good quality) with a softer insert in the primer portion of the cartridge which will protect your striker/firing pin. The weight of the trainer cartridges seems on par with typical loaded live cartridges, so they serve as a good analog for loading. The fact that they are colored a vibrant color helps identify them as a training aid and minimizes any confusion for live cartridges. In my experience, the trainer cartridges loaded well and cycled through the action with no difficulties. I would definitely recommend these for someone looking to do off-range teaching or training for familiarization, loading, situational re-loading, or malfunction clearing. When a crisis hits we fall back on our training and knowing how to act in a crisis situation without too much in-the-moment thought could save your life.

Updated Review 20 Gauge Training Round
I am updating my initial review which I have left below. After my initial negative review the company contacted me via email and wanted to make things right. They offered me a refund or an exchange for an updated version of the product. I opted for the updated version but had them ship it to me directly rather than reorder on Amazon for fear that I might get the same old version that didn't work again. It took a couple of weeks but I eventually got the updated version and they work perfectly. The original non working version is hollow in the muzzle end of the training round. As shown in the picture the updated version has what appears to be a silver metal washer and screw in the muzzle end. I don't know for certain what difference that makes but I suspect it improves the balance of the training round so it will eject properly. In any case I can now recommend these training rounds (in 20 gauge at least). They function well in my Shockwave in every aspect and the manufacturer did the right thing to make everything satisfactory. My suggestion to buyers when ordering is to specify the updated version so you don't get the old version. My original review which is not longer appropriate: I bought these to train with a Mossberg Shockwave. The fit the magazine and chamber fine but they will not eject. I tried actual shotshells and they worked fine. Unfortunately I cannot return these training rounds so I'm stuck with them.

Great dummy/dry fire rounds
Great for mag drills and simulating the weight of a loaded mag. These are cost effective and will provide the utility for a dummy round with dryfiring protection. Ejecting these is hit or miss and likely due to the nature of the materials, so user beware. Otherwise a 1:1 fit and size to a real round.

9 mm and 357 mag great snap caps and dummy rounds
this is a review for the 9 mm 12 pack. i bought these as snap caps. much better deal than azoom or tipton 9mm snap caps. cheaper than tipton and you get 12 instead of 5. there is weight to these dummy rounds and you can use them to safely learn the manual of arms of your gun. the "primers" are replaceable but given that it is new, it's unclear how long they will hold up. they come in a nice container which helps keep the replaceable rubber inserts along with a small pry tool for replacing them. a safety pin would work just as well for prying them off. i put the 9 mm in a 9 mm case gauge and they fit but are slightly shorter than properly sized cases but will not impact their use as dummy rounds or snap caps. more importantly that means they should fit in all 9 mm guns. 357mag review, great product. feels heavy enough to mimic a bullet and again allows safe manipulation of firearm if still learning how to handle the gun. i would have chosen the 38 spcl snap caps since a 357 will chamber both but inexplicably this was 11.66 vs 16.99 for the 38 special. since i have both 357s and 38 spcl revolvers. i'll just use this for the 357 thus freeing up my old 38 spcl snap caps for the pure 38 spcl guns.

Nice training round
It's a nice training round. I like it because it has color and I used it in a clear mag for training. It works great. No issues chambering or extracting.

Cycles fine through my Maverick, but steel can wear out or scratch your ejection port over time.
Rapid cycled 24 rounds through my 12 ga Maverick 88 pump, no issues with feeding or ejection. Hull portion is made from rigid plastic and base is some sort of ferrous steel (sticks to magnet). Pretty durable, haven't even see any firing pin indentation on the rubber "primer" from dry firing. Same OAL and weight as a Federal Premium slug shell I pulled from the box. I check the dimensions of one with my digital caliper - Rim diameter/thickness, mouth diameter are within SAAMI specs for 12 gauge cartridge. The base diameter is 0.795-0.796" - just slightly undesized compare to the sample Federal Premium shotshell (0.805"). Weight is 42.4 grams, about the same as the Federal slug shell (41 g). These seem to be well made dummy shotshells with proper dimensions. A dozen for $26 is well worth the money. And I dig the white colour. Edit: After a while, I've noticed a fair bit of wear and scratching on the bottom edge of my ejection port from cycling these through my gun. This is on a steel receiver of a Mossberg Maverick. My guess is the steel base and rim hasn't been annealed. Be warned, this might lead to excessive wear on aluminum receivers.
