FurHaven Two-Tone Plush Faux Fur & Suede L Chaise Dog Bed

I absolutely adore this bed. My frenchie has some hip issues and is getting older now so I wanted to try and invest in some kind of orthopedic bed for him. I decided on this one after reading so many mixed reviews and I'm happy I did. I'm actually getting another one for his 2 sisters really soon!It's so comfortable and I love the pillow edging around the bed. (I even fell asleep on it and I slept like a baby lol).. Comes with 2 seperate zippered compartments so you can take the cover off when washing it. The outside is machine washable but I don't place it in the dryer, I just hang dry it (Dries in no time). Foam material inside is not meant to get wet but if it does, it dries fairly quickly. Spot cleaning is easy on the foam mattress inside if your dog has an accident and it gets stained.Mattress comes folded up and vacuum packed so it does take a while for the foam to shape itself again. (it doesn't effect the quality of the mattress but the foam does tear easily, so be careful and gentle when removing it from the package). I see many complaints about this but honestly, with a little fluffing and use it flattens out and takes shape in no time! You can move the foam around inside to adjust it/fluff it around. Eventually, it'll fluff up and look like the photos I've attached below.We've owned this bed for over a yr now and it wears beautifully. Holds up well (not for constant chewers, they'll probably chew through the fabric).. that being said, it's pretty durable (I have 3 frenchies that use it constantly). My dog bam bam and his new sisters love it so much I'm going to get another one soon. My dogs love to rest their heads on pillows so this was perfect and exactly what I was looking for.The orthopedic foam seems to be pretty good quality and it really provides a lot of cushion and support for my 6 yr old frenchies hips and joints. He used to wake up a little stiff from the other beds and ever since I got this one, he's been waking up feeling great and ready to play. Worth the investment in my opinion for sure!

I ordered 2 of these in 2022, and they were absolutely great. My dogs and I loved them! I wanted to buy them again, but from what I'm seeing in these new 2026 reviews that something has changed, and they're not what they used to be. So, if that is the case , these will be getting sent back when I order them, if they are not what I previously ordered.My 5 star review is solely based on my Sept. 5th 2022 purchase! Second go around with these beds. They take a while to “fluff” up but out dogs were happy with them before and now down to one ordered her another and loves it again. They are soft and assembly is easy, as it all fits together. We were able to wash the last rounds cover without issue. Photo two dogs is the last ones we had, the newest is the brown. I think it may be slightly less thick but still works well.

My dog, Mr. LouisVuitton, has always had high standards when it comes to his sleeping arrangements. So, when I found the Furhaven, I thought I'd finally discovered the perfect throne for my furry king. And for the most part, I was right. But oh, the adventures that awaited us!The Bed ItselfLet me start by saying this bed is like the Ritz-Carlton for dogs. Plush, cozy, and with just the right amount of bounce. Mr. LouisVuitton took one look, gave it a quick sniff, and promptly sank into a nap so deep I was worried he'd slipped into a canine coma. Success!The Washing Incident: Act IAll was well until Mr. LouisVuitton had a little too much fun in the mud one day and transferred his new "aroma" to the bed. No problem, I thought. The cover is machine washable, and I'm an adult who can handle such things. I removed the cover and tossed it in the washing machine, feeling quite accomplished.The Washing Incident: Act IIFeeling even more adult-like, I decided to wash the insert as well. The instructions were clear: "Do not machine wash." But who reads instructions? Into the washing machine, it went. It came out looking like a wet, miserable lump, but hey, it's clean!The Washing Incident: Act IIIHere’s where things went south. I figured the dryer would fluff it right back up. I mean, it’s called a "dryer" for a reason, right? I shoved the insert into the dryer and set it to high heat. About ten minutes in, I heard a noise that can only be described as a small explosion.The AftermathI opened the dryer to find what can only be described as a snowstorm of fluff. It looked like someone had unleashed a herd of rabid cotton balls in there. The insert had burst open, and the stuffing was everywhere. I was knee-deep in a winter wonderland of my own making, while Mr. LouisVuitton watched with a look that clearly said, "I told you so."The Silver LiningAfter an hour of vacuuming and a heartfelt apology to my dryer, I restuffed the bed as best as I could. Surprisingly, it held up quite well. Mr. LouisVuitton didn’t seem to mind the slightly lumpy texture; he was just happy to have his bed back. And I learned a valuable lesson: always read the instructions.In conclusion, the Furhaven is fantastic. It’s comfortable, stylish, and well-loved by my dog. Just heed the warning about washing the insert. Trust me, you don't want to experience an indoor blizzard.

Editing now, almost a year later, to say our beloved sweet old boy passed away in his bed. I’m so relieved he had a safe, soft, comfortable place for his last days. Our old girl still refuses any other bed. I am staying with her at my parents’ house (hopefully helping her adjust to life without her brother) and she won’t sleep on the floor futon with me! She wants her bed or nothing at all. I still love these beds. I really cannot express how much peace I find in knowing how much my old boy loved his bed and found relief in it until the very end.-My dogs are roughly 15 years old. One of them came down with old dog vestibular disease, and it was hard watching her through her recovery just struggling to get in and out of her bed. Their previous beds were fine, but as age is setting into their little joints, lifting their feet just isn't as easy as it used to be. Both of the dogs were starting to get tangled up on lifted edges, so I looked specifically for beds with some options. Neither will sleep in a bed unless they have a tangible corner (with the raised edges) to curl up in, so I had to find that for these picky beasts while also ensuring they were safe and wouldn't collapse.They love these beds now. We can set them up in a way that they are entirely easy for them to manage, even if the old boy feels more spry than his body does and he wants to take on the world with his arthritis and all. I would just recommend paying attention to their habits, and adjusting accordingly as they age. I have the larger bed as well for my perpetual puppy, a two year old German shepherd, and I took it away for a day to wash the covering. When I set her bed back down, she didn't even wait for it to be all the way on the floor (it's as tall as I am, which isn't impressive for a person, but is impressive for a dog bed) before she dove into it. My German shepherd likes to surf with her bed as well, but there is enough cushioning that she trusts it entirely to catch and support her. I'm pretty sure these are the only beds I'll be getting for any dogs I have.Also, just a note: cleaning was remarkably easy. You just have to be smarter than the bed and its covering, which I was on the third attempt. In the bed's defense, I struggle with fitted sheets still as well. Great beds! Dog approved from giant puppy with no boundaries regarding personal space to sleepy seniors with stiff joints.

I bought this bed to put into my Boxer puppy's crate so he is off the bottom of it a little. It is by far one of the best beds I've ever bought! My guy loves it - he sleeps in his crate any time the other dogs are napping, he just goes and get in his crate, stretches out on his bed, and a snooze he is! The Chaise Lounge style is great having two cuddle sides. It works well for his crate set up and he lays with his head on one of the sides like a pillow. This is the third bed I've tried for him and it is definitely the charm, so much so the older Boxer will go get in the crate and lay on it. I imagine being an orthopedic bed it helps with the pressure points on her old bones as well as with the very rapidly growing puppy too!It is very well put together. The seems are good, the fabric is really nice, the main cushioning is not too thick and not too thin. It is easily cleaned. When it arrived I left it outside int he fresh air. There was a tag with it regarding maybe having a smell from manufacturing and to just let it air out. Which, I did and the smell went away.Just for reference, the puppy is 14 months old, he is 24 inches tall at his shoulder and goes around 70lbs. He fits on this size bed pretty well and it fit into the large size crate with just a fraction of a gap between the bed and crate side. I'll be buying another bed in the future! The price is great for the quality of bed it is. I would expect a bed like this to be $70 or more in the pet store. ...(Sorry for the law quality photo)

Will add photos in a bit, but I just received and setup and (like another reviewer mentioned), was sad to see the version I received has one zipper and the bolster just sits on top of the MUCH thinner egg crate foam, versus the 2 zippered compartments to keep the 2 pieces separate and maintaining the shape. If you look at the product listing photos, they clearly show 2 zippers, but that is not what is going out anymore unless you are getting older stock. Very sad.Onto the details. My original version had 3 bolsters, which I decided against this time because my so-called miniature Aussies end up being flukes of nature (ha) and somehow are full sized Aussies. Welp, the 3 bolsters resulted in less sleeping surface and I felt bad. That fabric was THICK and high quality. Even the foam was high quality. After a year of daily use, someone managed to get a hold started and I was forced to final replace. Hence the 2 bolster version this time. The fabric is significantly thinner, the foam is significantly thinner, and the fabric is now just a big ole single compartment to hold 2 separate pieces. The corner part of the bolster fabric (where it meets the "bed" part of the fabric) will also not lay flat so it is not as tidy and looks pretty sloppy. Truthfully, I am disappointed. Had I never owned the first one, I would only be bothered by the wonky corner stitching. To be fair, many people love this bed and you might to. I just can't love it because of my reasons above. Take that as you will. I can't be bothered to send it back, and it wasn't so pricey to go super cranky (yup, this is not cranky me), so 3 stars. I honestly see this tearing pretty quick based on my dogs' crazy pre-bedtime nesting habits, so I suspect I will need to start window shopping for a replacement and queued up in my wish list. Alas, I will be looking at other brands now that I am not sure I will get quite what I see in the pictures. Oh, the color matches the pictures, the fabric is soft so that's a win.

We got this to fit in my German Shepherd's crate and it was a bit too big for our crate but finally a bed big enough for him! And it's super comfy, he doesn't want to ever get up from it lolUpdate: We loved this bed so much we decided to get another one to keep in my husband's auto shop for him since our dog always hangs out there. Wish we got it sooner! Usually he's so full of energy and just getting in the way lol now he's more relaxed because he loves laying on this bed so much 😂
