Perhaps this product suffers from its name and association with washing nappies in the past (although when my boys were small I found it easy peasy to save money and the environment by using lovely velcro washable nappies). However it has many great modern uses. Firstly for whitening whites; I have white towels which get marked from oils for aromatherapy as well as white clothes and sports kit. I pause the machine with the recommended amount of Napisan to allow for a soak and for the oxygen to work its magic before a normal 40 degree or occasionally 60 degree wash. The result is good brightening and stain removal, even on muddy white socks. Secondly it is great for removing odours and killing bacteria: sports kit (check for colour fastness with things like rugby shirts although I have found they are fine without a soak) really benefits, as do kitchen and cleaning cloths which can smell musty after low temperature washes even if regularly rinsed and changed daily. With Napisan these items smell really fresh and hygenically clean. I have tried all varieties of the market leader in the pink tub, even the gold one, and it is not as effective as Napisan for the above jobs (although I will keep it for marks on coloureds). The thing to remember is that the pink one, even though I buy it when half price in the supermarket, is VASTLY more expensive than Napisan - if you have a family, pets etc. and a fair few loads of washing every week then it's completely out of any sensible budget. Also I have noticed that in wash sanitisers such as Dettol are very expensive for the amount of washes they offer per bottle. This product is essential. All of the freshening, stain removal and whitening needs I describe are assuming the limitations of TOP BRAND laundry detergents and an A rated washing machine.

This product isn't just for nappies! I've just put in my second order of this product after being so mightily impressed by it. It's become the essential ingredient of every single washload now. School socks with brown soles come out miraculously white and gleaming; towels have that ultra fresh hotel laundry scent; tea towels are fresh and stain-free, and everything is totally hygienic and germ-free. Even my washing machine is smiling instead of belching stinky fumes when I open the door to load it. My coloured and black items haven't faded at all, something I was worried about. I am careful to only add up to the stated dose though, and not over-do it. A soak in this product seems to shift the truly stubborn stains I used to struggle to remove. It's so cheap to add to each load compared to the competitors product, as you don't need much. My last purchase has lasted me a good couple of months and we do an awful lot of washing. I'm in love with this. There's nothing better in this world than the smell of clean laundry, and this product achieves that time after time.

Personally I really like this product. Used to buy it in the supermarket when we lived in Australia and was disappointed you could no longer get it here (or I haven't found it before). My daughter and I both have sensitive skin, which reacts to certain washing powders and my daughter has eczema. I have been able to wash our clothes with this in the wash with no subsequent skin problems. This powder works well to remove stains and kill off germs. I can't definitively say if it's as good as vanish for stains, but so far it's coped with the variety of stains the children have brought home from preschool and now school. Having 3 boxes at once is handy and it is cheaper than some of the other options available for killing germs in your wash. Happy to recommend this product.

Honest reviewer. Napisan works incredibly well to not only sanitise but also lift the stains that can be engrained in the fabric of clothing for long term stains. I originally purchased it based off a recommendation over vanish and I have never looked back since, it seems to work on a range of stains from blow outs from babies to blackberries and bolognaise stains. Solid 5 stars from me.

I've been using Napisan for nearly 2 years. It is an antibacterial combined with a stain remover and helps brighten clothes without "whitening" them and also helps to keep the drum and rubber tubing clean. I bought the 12 pack because I couldn't get hold of it in my regular shops. It was a good price and was delivered very quickly. Would definitely recommend for all washes not just nappies!

Love napisan even tho i dont have kids lol i soak most our white items like socks pants pillow cases work polo shirts bras work shirts and pale blue or pink shirtsovernight in a bucket of hot water and napisan then into the washer with a lid full of lenor unstoppables into the drum then in the drawer i put my normal powder (usually surf) some more napisan with the powder and comfort into the softener compartment and everything comes out looking as bright as new and smelling devine that all you want to do is stand there sniffing them all day and some may say its a bit extreme doing all that for a white shirt but if a jobs worth doing its worth doing it well and why would you take a showerr wash your hair brush your teeth feel frezh and clean to then go and put a shirt on that is as grey as the british weather i know which i prefer so thank u napisan for helping me keep our clothes as white as the day we bougjt them

I started using this Napisan Pack of 2 primarily for my my whites, but it’s quickly become a must-have for our entire household wash. It provides a level of deep clean that standard detergents just can't match.
