Cast Iron Bread Dutch Oven
I love this Dutch oven for bread baking. Much easier to use. The pan is heavy and the over lid is heavy, but still easier to use than a standard Bread Dutch oven. Olor is bright and beautiful.

Makes perfect bread!
Purchased for my daughter in-law. She made bread in her new bread pot over Christmas and the loaf came out great!

Dutch Oven for artisan bread baking at an even greater price. Excellent pan, think I’ll buy another.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this Dutch Oven. But I knew didn’t want to use my big 7 quart Dutch oven that I often use for soups, stews, roasts, etc. I didn’t want that pot damaged by the high heat when making artisan bread. I bought this Dutch oven mainly because of the enameled exterior, and the sealed interior. When I got it, the interior looked a lot like a standard cast-iron pan that you have to season. To my surprise, the bread did not stick to the unseasoned interior surface. The lid sealed well on the base, and my loaves all came out beautifully. The pan does have a heft to it. The metal knob on the lid is positioned well, adequately sized, and is easy to grasp with a hot pad. The pan does get incredibly hot as per the baking instructions, so use thick hot pads. I recommend not using silicone pads, mine melted on the pan. Thick terry and cotton hot pads worked best for me, and the melted silicone cleaned off easily. The side handles are set well away and are easy to grasp. This is my new go to pan for baking artisan breads. I will be looking for an oval shaped one from the same manufacturer, if available. I certainly recommend it for baking artisan breads, including sourdough bread. The best thing of all with this pan was the price point. I honestly did not expect the build quality and excellent performance from a Dutch oven costing less than $50.00

Great addition to my kitchen
The 6 Qt TeamFar Cast Iron Bread Dutch Oven is the kitchen upgrade I didn't know I needed. I found a no-knead artisan bread recipe last year that initially baked in my regular Dutch oven, but I found it difficult to work with. The recipe calls for the Dutch oven to be preheated in the oven. My regular Dutch oven is heavy, bulky, and hard to maneuver in and out of the oven, especially when it's hot. The bread is baked with the lid on until the last 20 minutes to brown the crust. My traditional Dutch oven is too tall to brown the crust evenly. The bottom and top would look right, but the sides looked undercooked. I randomly found the 6 Qt TeamFar Cast Iron Bread Dutch Oven on Amazon and thought the price was reasonable enough to try it out. With the first loaf, I was in love. The bread came out with an even crust, and I got a little more height than I had with the traditional pan, which tells me it distributes heat better than my traditional Dutch oven. The recipe calls for using parchment paper, which I still do even though the 6 Qt TeamFar Cast Iron Bread Dutch Oven has a nonstick surface. I have used it to make cottage pie and twice-baked mashed potatoes without the lid, and it washed up like a dream. The 6 Qt TeamFar Cast Iron Bread Dutch Oven is versatile and can function in the oven and on the stovetop. I also like the color. I picked the blue color because my traditional Dutch oven is also blue, and they look similar enough to look like part of a set. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase.
