This is good stuff it removes my BIAB builder gel and it’s previously removed acrylic. I would say you may need to two rounds of removal if you have more than 2 layers of builder gel or alternatively leave it on with cotton wool and foil for 20 mins atleast

I’ve been using acetone for over 15 years when doing my own gel nails. I purchased this as it states 100% but I’m not convinced. The reason being it doesn’t wipe off uncured gel or wet normal varnish immediately. I have to keep wiping with a brush/cotton bud for removal. I’ve never experienced this before hence why I’m not sure it’s really 100% acetone. In my opinion it should wipe off with ease. I shouldn’t have to work the varnish for removal. It also came with some odd safety cap which was near on impossible to get off. I had to use my husbands pliers. I wouldn’t recommend this supplier as I’ve used other suppliers (even less that 100%) with much better results.

As a hobby I like to make miniature things out of polymer clay. Acetone is a must for making the clay smooth and getting rid of imperfections. Also good for dissolving superglue if like me you manage to stick your fingers together often. I like the fact there is a child lock on the bottle, I don’t have children but good to know the lid is always secure. I do wish the top of the bottle had a smaller opening to avoid accidental spillage, however that is just a preference as I am use to smaller bottles that you would squeeze to get the product out. Will definitely buy more when I run out but won’t be for a while as I got the litre bottle.

I’ve been using IPA for cleaning purposes for years, pretty much since I first used it as an industrial chemist. I’d avoided acetone though, as it is much more aggressive and will readily dissolve many things. What a mistake I made. This is one of the best chemicals for removing stains from things, especially clothing. It will remove grease, paint, marker pen, oil - all the things you can get on clothing. If you want to get stains or paint off clothing, try this.
