They look good and smell like cedar. But the front and back are connected by a spring and cannot get tight enough to strech the size 14 shoe back into shape. I thought it would be a threaded connection.

I've always used wood shoe trees for all my shoes. When you spend some bucks on your shoes it behooves to keep them in good shape. It is pretty stiff as I wanted, I didn't expect to get any smell, but wow these expenses smell like a fresh cut cedar. It reminded me when my grandfather made cup coasters and the Cedar aroma would cover all around the house. This smelled right of the bag brought these memories. I do like them since they are stiff, the toes part is not fixed and goes up and down, so it is easy to maneuver into loafers or oxfords shoes. I have ordered the medium size for my 9 size dress shoes and it is a perfect fit. They do come in a shoebox alike. So if you are trying to make a small simple gift it is a great idea and hustles free from packaging.
