Can be diluted
I’m almost 70. My hair is fine and especially dry at the ends. For me, this product does everything it says it does except add volume. It’s undeniably better for my hair than any shampoo I’ve tried, leaving it smooth, shiny, soft. It is ridiculously expensive, but it’s so thick, it can be diluted significantly. It must be rinsed out completely. I wash my hair about 2x a week, and one refill lasts me more than a year.

Natural blonde, clean hair achieved! Excellent on color.
So I was skeptical about using a "no-poo" shampoo with oils and other things to clean my hair. I have tried Wen, and knock-offs, and while they did clean my hair, they left it feeling dry and unmanageable. I have read several other reviews, and can say I cast my lot with the 5-star reviewers. Here's the deal: I'm 6 mos pregnant and instead of having luxurious, shiny, healthy hair, my scalp stayed super oily while the ends got SUPER dry. Weird, because I'm a natural blonde and that oil has been a part of my entire life! But anyway, this stuff actually DOES clean my hair. I am finding I can go 3 days without having to rewash it--with dry shampoo assistance, of course. But, even with all the oils in the product, (1) I don't get a greasy residue. My hair is literally squeaky clean after a rinse; (2) I have volume (I use my Revlon wet-dry round brush, which is AMAZING), and (3) I get the extra day out of my hair with dry shampoo. NOTE: I have not tested my hair on day 2 without dry shampoo, but i have noticed significantly less yuk the 2nd morning after my application of dry shampoo the night before (Batiste is THE BEST for blondes/oily scalps by far!). I will say this: I still use a leave-in detangler/conditioner and also apply conditioner over the ends in the shower before I rinse. I don't think that will continue after the pregnancy, but for now, I need to. So, when New Wash cleans your scalp and your ends still feel dry, just load up with some conditioner OVER the New Wash before you rinse it out. Still makes it a 1-step washing process. I apply New Wash, use the scalp scrubber, apply conditioner, then soap up the rest of me before one solid rinse. 6-minute shower and I'm good to go. Give it a try if you want to get rid of sulphates and chemicals that strip your hair! OH, lastly, this is FANTASTIC for color preservation. I got my color done about 2 weeks ago and it looks almost identical to when it was done--which never happens. Usually, color is drained/stripped by wash 2 and looks "hollow." Now, it just looks healthy. I hope you'll try it!

TERRIBLE product
Read reviews first and learn about this product because for my fine, straight hair didn’t work at all. The shampoo sticks to the hair, makes it greasy, flat and can’t even wash it out from your hair. It’s a waste of money and shouldn’t be $50. Their return window was only one month, and how can you try the shampoo if you don’t open it? It would be nice if they gave your money back, but no. Stay away from this product and company!

It works
I loved this shampoo, my hair felt so soft, shiny and healthy. However, after not getting my second shipment and it being delayed, i canceled and haven’t used it since.

Great shampoo. Minus 1 star for the insane price.
I have used massive tubs of kirkland or trader joe’s sls-free shampoos for the past decade. The kind you buy once a year and cost under $15. I’m not looking to splurge when I don’t see a benefit. Enter this shampoo. I’m on my second order. I have short hair and it makes a huge difference in how my hair looks after washing. No more fluffy and smooth helmet that needs loads of styling daily. This makes hair lay naturally, with definition and soft shapes. Really works with my short layered cut. I try not to use it every day bc it’s so damn expensive, so I use the brand’s powder in between washes. I can’t go for more than 3 days, 4 at the most. Love that it’s minimally scented, don’t mind the absence of lather- though that does make it a bit harder to know if you’ve applied it everywhere. I follow the instructions, apply the shampoo, massage my hair with the provided brush, and then leave it on while I wash the rest of my body for a solid 5 to 10 minutes - that gives a great wash. It’s not a ‘massage for a few seconds and rinse immediately’ type of shampoo. I don’t use conditionner, never have bc my hair is oily. Great product, I just wish it was more affordable! You don’t get much for the high price and you have to use a large amount for each wash. I’ve been on the hunt for a cheaper product that gives the same results, haven’t found it though!

Love
Okay, so I know a lot of people put bad reviews because it "changed" their hair the way they didn't want. The thing is it will change your hair because your scalp has to get used to being cleaned semi-naturally (most natural is just washing with water). I bought this knowing that it was going to make my hair greasy. Bought this to transition my hair to being washed with this to just water. I love it 100% after using it. The Scalp brush is a must because then you won't be able to wash it out fast enough. I know just use this for washing my body but it works great for hair.

Didn’t work well on healthy hair
I have very healthy hair (no color, no heat, no styling products) & was looking for something detergent free and more natural. Because I have a very easy hair routine (wash, condition, go about my life) I was attracted to the possibility of streamlining it further by a cleanser that detangled and conditioned all at the same time. I was using a shampoo bar, but it left quite a bit of buildup after a few washes. I have fine hair but it is pretty thick with a natural wave and comes down past my shoulders. I followed the directions and after the first week I didn’t notice a huge difference in my hair between using this and regular shampoo. I am almost finished with the 8oz bottle six weeks later, and my hair is limp and the natural wave is gone. My scalp looks greasy and my hair looks stringy. I’ve tried letting it sit and massaging while rinsing. I have tried washing daily and also every other day. I rinse thoroughly for a very long time. If I have a wash day with traditional shampoo/conditioner, my hair is great again. This stuff might be good for those with an allergy/sensitivity to detergents or those with severely damaged hair. Didn’t work for me, and I can’t justify the price point.

Fine hair WOWZA
Ok I was a huge skeptic. I’ve tried homemade ‘no poo’ and the baking soda/apple cider vinegar rinse combo was terrible on my hair. Lately, normal shampoo has been making my hair itchy and greasy pretty immediately. This stuff WORKS. After my first shampoo, I followed the directions to a T (used the scrubber, spent like 4 minutes scrubbing in, did the rest of my shower routine, 4 minutes scrubbing out) and my hair came out LOVELY. I’m halfway through day 2 and it’s still not greasy. I was expecting a major transition period because my hair is so fine, but so far so good. My scalp also isn’t itchy or flaky. Usually by now it would be. I know it doesn’t work for everyone, but it’s kind of a holy grail so far for me. Added bonus that it protects your color better than color safe shampoo.

So Light and No Frizz
I'm only a week in so I'll come back again after a bit longer and add to this review ... Honestly, it's crazy money but SO good for my hair. It's taken me this long to actually get the rinsing out correct. Before, I used to rinse off my hair in the bath. You can't do that with this because it just doesn't rinse out that well, leaving you hair lank and crazy greasy! Now I rinse it with the shower hose, but also, once I'm out of the bath I tip my head over and rinse off the underneath. I was very surprised at how clean my hair felt, considering it felt like I was putting a load of conditioner on it. The weirdest thing is that my hair feels so light. I "washed" my hair yesterday and normally I'd be piling a load of dry shampoo on my hair today, but I don't need it. Tomorrow I would, but I won't need to wash it tomorrow if I don't want to. So my hair is light and soft and silky now, whereas it was always dry, brittle and lank before. My daughter, who has very long hair, reluctantly tried it and (annoyingly) used most of the pouch the first time she tried it as she struggled to get it all through her hair. She's fine tuned that now and I've noticed a gorgeous sheen to her hair. We are both blonde and normally our hair looks dry and not remotely shiny. The best thing for her is that she has no more frizz! We are both complete converts, which won't help my bank balance, but I honestly feel it's worth it. Reading the other reviews it's not for everyone, but it's well worth a try. Also - if you use the brush, remember not to scrub it in circles on your scalp - I scrub up and down in the direction of the hair growth. UPDATE: I’ve given up! As in, I realise that more often than not my hair is left greasy as I just cannot rinse it out properly. So .... I’ve now tried this: Put Deep wash in my hair and leave it for around five minutes. Then I wash it out as normal with shampoo. Then I put in some conditioner in the ends and rinse out. Honestly, my hair has never looked or felt better! Been doing this for a couple of weeks now.

Not worth to price
I was super excited to try this shampoo. I received it as a gift because I felt the price is too dear to justify. After using one package of the shampoo, I think I liked it but not 100% sure. I am glad it was a gift because I don’t want to spend that much money to be uncertain of a product.

Worth the money
This just makes my hair feel and look better . Yes it’s expensive but I don’t need to wash my hair daily as it looks good for 4 days . I also don’t get any irritation on my scalp as I do with other shampoos. Highly recommend

Game changer
Amazing product, game changer indeed. Gone are the daily washes, stripping oils from your bonce. Once/twice a week perfect. Apply it as you would conditioner, yes its pricey but you get what you pay for, I have shoulder length hair, and I apply slightly more than the equivalent amount of toothpaste (if that makes sense)

Skeptical at first, risk paid off thankfully
I was skeptical at first as so many reviews said it made your hair feel heavy and dirty. When i opened the bottle and put some on my hand for the first time i got even more worried thet i’d wasted my money as it felt like a thick conditioner. I don’t know about most people, but when i condition my roots, my hair is greasy instantly. I gave it a go anyway when my hair was dirty and sweaty. It felt amazing. A little side note: i applied the product to a section of my hair at a time to make sure all areas were covered (in total about 9-10 pumps). I HAVE REALLY THICK AND CURLY HAIR and it worked well to not stop my volume from coming out (my hair falls flat and crap when i over condition) I washed it out till the roots felt a bit dry and the tips didnt feel too conditioned. It took 2 washes (5 days between) for my hair to stop making so much oil. After that my dermatitis stopped flaring and towards the last couple of days before i washed it my hair wasnt so dry and frizzy at the ends. THIS PRODUCT NEEDS TIME TO WORK. but its great when it does and its important for your hairs long term health. If you can afford it then why not
