Works well but some elements could be better
First off, and importantly, this switches HDMI inputs and outputs perfectly and I can't fault that. Which is just as well, because... 1. The remote works, but is confusingly labelled and has too many buttons, as if it's a single model of remote used by TESmart for lots of different kit: - it has a power button, which locks the matrix rather than powers it down - a handy function to have, but it would be handy to have power off too, and label the lock button with an appropriate symbol; - the outputs are A-H yet the remote buttons are labelled numerically, with the letters printed below them (but rather closer to the wrong buttons than the right ones) 2. There is no information in the manual supplied (and the information is difficult to find on their website) regarding RS232 and LAN control. I had to email them for help to find it. 3. Every switch action is accompanied by a load beep, making this unsuitable for many uses. The beep can be turned off by telnet command if you've figured out the LAN control. 4. Buyers should be aware than LAN control does not mean it can be controlled via a browser. It does not have a webserver, so it cannot. In summary, a nice piece of equipment that works well at a basic level. It would be hugely improved and worth five stars if a web server/browser control were added.
