Has anyone sampled with the wattage of the bulbs, 20/40 watt, white or warm, flicker, colored bulbs, what do you suggest for a subtle glow?

We used 60 W Ecosmart LED bulbs with our lights for which we have dimmer switch.

What color is the metal fixture?

The metal fixture is a dark brass. It is such a beautiful hanging lamp. I am very pkeased with it.

Each of the globes has one larger opening and one smaller opening. Which one goes on the top?

When you watch the instructional video that comes with the lamp, it shows that you put the larger opening on top so the bulb is hanging downward.
