This nail dryer works perfectly, but it's honestly so small - as others have said, it's about the size of a small burger. In operation it's reasonably quiet. The item description suggests that using it will dry your nails in 50% of the time, which seems about right. I feel that this item is more for a young girl who wants to play the part of using nail polish. It won't function anywhere like a UV lamp, and that's not the intention of this item anyway. It really is for girls to enjoy "being an adult" in their minds! 4*
