Legendary Foods Frosted Blueberry Protein Pastry, Protein Bar Alternative

All good. Real blueberries in the filling. Lots of protein. You get a good quantity just the same as other toaster pastries sold in stores. The texture of the pastries are fine and almost like grandulated sugar but softer and mixed. Always very fresh and keep for long periods of time (9 months).

I love these! They are tasty. They contain sugar alcohols so please avoid if you are sensitive to this, as it can cause a laxative effect. These were sufficiently fresh, not stale. They are soft and chewy with a great blueberry flavor. The double chocolate is also very good. They dont quite look like the image on the package, however that is pretty standard for processed foods. The box usually arrives a little bit crushed , but the pastries themselves are always in good shape. The macronutrient ratios on these are incredible, with a lot of protein, a little fiber, and very little sugar. A great replacement for a sweet treat or on-the-go flat snack to fit in your purse. They are highly portable due to their flat nature.

This item is good tasting. However this is the 2nd time in 3 weeks that the item / box has been badly damaged. I didn't say anything the first time but this is ridiculous. For the cost it's unacceptable. Not a happy camper 🥺🥺

Let's talk about Legendary keto pastries. I've been on a low carb diet for a couple years now and was looking for something quick I could eat for breakfast. It tried the chocolate, strawberry, blueberry (this one), and cherry. They're all ok. They're not pop-tarts, but they're ok. Blueberry is my second favorite behind cherry. Others my like them too because sometimes they're out of stock. Eventually I moved full keto and gave these up. They started tasting too sweet, and I couldn't justify the $30+ price tag on a box of 10 of them. They're just too expensive. In my mind they're a good transition snack into a keto diet or maybe an occasional snack. I don't recommend them as a daily meal replacement.

I ordered the legendary Smores and really liked the flavor, even if the artificial sweetener taste was a bit obvious, but the blueberry flavor was not great. Came in fine, no sort of icepack or anything to keep it cool so keep that in mind, especially in California summer heat for me. The frosted blueberry vice the smores was far too sweet tasting and made me feel sick just eating one. Understandably so, the sucralose in the ingredients is far too strong and the artificial sweetener taste overpowered my taste buds. This is present in their other products, but for the blueberry it stood out far more. Also, note the price. A bit high considering what you get. Each package comes with one pastry, with 8 pastries total. When I bought it that would mean it would be 3.75 per pastry. Would you buy protein poptarts for $7.50? Poptarts may not have protein but the price difference is a bit crazy if you do the math. **UPDATE** Legendary foods contacted me saying they were sorry they heard I wasn't satisfied with the product and sent my suggestion on packing to corporate and processed a refund to my account for my order that I made over a month ago (September 8th). That was very nice to see and I was honestly surprised. I brought my review from 3 stars to 5 just alone due to the customer service. In my eyes, if your willing to pay the cost and try the food, try it. If you aren't satisfied Legendary foods seem pretty competent on their customer service side and I don't see why you wouldn't at least try it.

I really like these blueberry protein pastries. They have a sweet blueberry flavor with a good balance of frosting and filling, and they’re convenient when I want something quick in the morning or as a snack. The best part is the high protein and low sugar, so they feel more satisfying than a regular breakfast pastry without all the extra carbs. They’re easy to grab and go, and I’ll definitely keep these on hand for a quick snack or treat.

This product is very sweet tasting although total sugars are low. Much too intense in sugary sweetness for me to enjoy unlike the strawberry flavor that was relatively tasty. That's probably why the strawberry is out of stock and blueberry is available. If you love artificial sweetness intensity you may like this.

This was my first time trying these and I am very underwhelmed. I don’t have a microwave so I put them in my toaster oven for 5 mins. The “dough” remains pasty and soft, not capable of becoming crispy and leaving them in longer makes the frosting melt off. Also, there seems to be no filling? See my attached photo. The product photo is misleading in this regard. I guess if someone likes highly processed doughy carb blobs for food, they would enjoy this, but I like a variety of texture. Good for people who are weaning off severe carb addictions, but I got these as a treat for a breakfast high protein snack and I think they seem unhealthy and sad.
