Works great if you understand the limitations
I got tired of paying someone to take care of the leaves that accumulate in my yard each Fall, so I decided to buy this Worx Trivac leaf mulcher to help me do the job myself. I have owned several Worx tools over the years, so I know that their quality is excellent. This device is actually a blower as well, but I wouldn’t call it a 3-in-1 device since the vacuum and mulcher features are really just one function (It sucks in the leaves and mulches them before depositing them into the attached bag). Since this mulcher requires a power cord, I would recommend using at least a 50-foot cord and maybe even a 100-foot one, depending on the size of your yard. After using this mulcher for an entire weekend, I am very pleased with it so far. However, I have 2 recommendations. First of all, make sure you don’t have any rocks, small tree branches, or other objects in the yard that could damage the impeller or cause it to get clogged. So I would suggest walking around your yard and removing any objects besides leaves that could cause problems when you’re using it. Second, it will be much easier to mulch the leaves if you rake them into piles first. I took a normal rake and went around my yard and created several small piles, which then made using this mulcher much more efficient. Also make sure you have a large garbage can ready so you can dump the bag of mulched leaves into it each time it fills up. Based on my experience with this leaf mulcher, I highly recommend it. The only thing that would make it better is if Worx came out with a battery-powered version so you didn’t have to drag a cord around your yard. But a battery-powered version might be too heavy and might not have enough power, so maybe that’s why Worx hasn’t done that.

Gardener's Best Friend
I wish I had found this years ago. I spend so much time in my garden, weeding, cleaning up leaves, cleaning up, cleaning up, cleaning up, on repeat like Sisyphus, hauling my garden waste to the yard waste bin, hauling that to the curb... At a certain point this summer, I got so disgusted that I just stopped. All my yard waste got stacked in a pile, where it sat. My husband suggested we get this vac and now, honestly, I'm a little mad at him that he knew about such tools and has been withholding this information from me for years. I used the vac this past weekend and cleaned up my whole garden, my porch, vacuumed the dirt out of my porch rugs, and cleaned the patio. This works amazing on leaves and your non-stacked debris. I still have a pile of wet debris from a recent rain that could use drying out before revisiting vacuuming. A couple times I did have to clean out the shoot because I was a little over-enthusiastic with trying to get up the wet piles of old tomato plants, but that's on me. The bag has a convenient zipper for emptying out the mulch. Love the design. Easy. Free mulch. It's wonderful. Vac took a little getting used to in terms of how to sling the catch bag over your shoulder, but easy enough once your figure it out. I am not a beast, but reasonably strong and the vac does get heavy with a full bag, but that is all to be expected and a great excuse to take a break anyway to empty the bag, and maybe, crack an adult beverage of your choice. Because now you have SO MUCH TIME again to enjoy life! If I had a time machine and had a chance to offer advice to my younger self it would be this, "saving is all well and good and smart on you being frugal, but consider your quality of life, the crushing blows to your spirit, and the precious hours you lose doing things the hard way. Just spend the money and buy the tools that buy you back your time." That is my advice to you. Buy back your life. And also buy some earplugs, because even the best things come with a price. Don't let it be your hearing.

Bag fills up pretty quick, but does make quick work a large pile of leaves
It performed pretty well but it wasn't the silver bullet that I was hoping for. The package came quickly, same day, and was pretty easy to assemble essentially just three pieces. there's a big knob on the side for switching between the blower and the vacuum/mulcher which is really convenient. It's not a powerful blower but is good for tidying up piles of leafs and hard surfaces. It does do a good job of sucking up leaves and mulching them. definitely be careful about large sticks and rocks. I feel like the mulcher was working really hard to get through some of them and on occasion a fresh twig wrapped around the rotor and had to be pulled out. It did reduce a huge pile of leaves to about four bags, but by the time I got to the bottom of the pile, there were so many sticks and mulch and other things I picked up I ended up having to just sweep it up by hand because so much of it was thick wood chips at the mulcher was really struggling with them The bag fills up really fast so you'll spend most of your time emptying it so just keep your leaf bags close by, like right next to you. Even though the bag fills up fast, that's not a bad thing. It's just that the vacuum works so well that it doesn't take very long to suck up a lot of leaves. The pile of leaves in the picture took about one hour to mulch down and it was my first time using it so there was a bit of a learning curve. I think they claim it mulches 18 bags of leaves to 1 bag but it seems like it's more 3:1 or 4:1. S Overall, for $100 it performs pretty much how I expected. I think if I done things differently, I would've picked up large sticks before collecting the leaves and I wouldn't have put everything into one giant pile. I would've gone around my yard and just made a bunch of smaller piles just big enough to fill the bag once. That way you save time collecting.

Outstanding
Needed to replace my old Toro blower/vac. Saw this and thought the price was great and I liked that it could go from blower to vac with the flip of a switch. Read the reviews which made me somewhat skeptical, but decided to give it a shot. Just used it for the first time and it is a beast. My old Toro had a plastic blade that would constantly get clogged by small twigs and sticks and I would have to stop, dismantle and clear the clog. This machine has a metal blade and it did not clog once. I could hear the sticks and twigs being shredded by the blade. Suction is great. Sucked up wet leaves. Even sucked up some seashells my kids had left in the yard. My only "complaint" would be that the bag is too small and the zipper doesn't open all the way to the edges, so it takes more effort to empty than it should. Might look into getting the hose/trash can lid accessory. Overall, would HIGHLY recommend this unit. Great performance and a great price.

Awkward, loud and doesn't do anything well
The morale of the story is if you're going to buy something that blows and sucks you're going to get something that blows as a sucker or sucks as a blower or both. As a vacuum it has trouble picking up pine needles and large leaves, but it does do a pretty good job with smaller leaves. The ergonomics are awkward. The shoulder strap, angle of the tube and the way the bag hangs are all in the wrong place and made worse by the heavy weight of the machine. It's unnecessarily tiring. The machine is stupid loud. It will cause hearing loss and I'd be surprised if they haven't been sued yet. At a minimum, your neighbor's will hate you. My ears are still ringing two days later so wear ear protection. The machine is just ok as a blower, but also compromised by the weight and awkward ergonomics. You are definitely better off getting separate leaf blower and leaf vacuum machines.

Great product. Very Happy with the quality and performance.
This Worx 3-in-1 unit works great. The housing, handle, and parts feel very sturdy and high quality. The motor was surprisingly powerful – yes, so powerful you need to wear ear plugs! Parts snap together easily (no tools needed) for assembly or cleaning up after use. It took me less than 5 minutes to open the box, assemble it, and start vacuuming. Another great feature I love is the motor speed dial. I have a lot of rock landscaping, and when vacuuming on high speed my shop vac will pick up small rocks. But on this unit I was able to adjust the motor speed down enough to pick up leaves, but not pick up rocks. I was also happy with the mulching and bag. This unit mulches the leaves nicely so the bag does not fill up too quickly. Mulch was small enough to use it in my garden compost pile. The blower worked equally well. The unit has a lever so you can quickly switch from vacuum to blower on the go. It was nice to blow the leaves into a pile, flip the lever, then suck them up-while never turning the unit off. I cleaned my back patio area in just a few minutes. I already have a blower, so now I can get rid of it and use this tool for both vacuuming and blowing. I am very happy with this product. Someone put a lot of thought into the design and quality of this unit.

Disappointing performance
I really did not want to write this as I have several Worx products that work really well. Unfortunately, this leaf vacuum/blower was disappointing in so many ways, I felt the need to respond. Like all of my Worx tools, this one looked great. That's where the positives ended, though. Here's why: 1. Suction was terrible. As I was picking up debris I would see things I had picked up seconds earlier falling out of the nozzle (see video). The problem isn't that there isn't good suction, it is that the collection bag is lined in plastic and really inhibits the suction. I removed the bag and tried to pickup the same items and watched as they shot across my driveway with significant force. The bag design is basically crippling the vacuum operation tremendously. Like trying to blow into a bottle. 2. Ergonomics suck. Specifically, the design of the handle. Most of the competing products have a handle that goes halfway or more around giving you multiple points where you can adjust your grip or use 2 hands. The Worx has a very short handle and when the nozzle is placed in a position to do its job, it puts your wrist at an odd angle making your hand and arm fatigue a lot quicker. The only other hold point is to grab the bag strap, but that doesn't lessen the awkward handgrip. 3. Once you put the nozzle extension together with the main intake assembly you will have a heck of a time ever getting it off. There are 3 click-buttons that hold the nozzle extension in place that you must depress in order to remove it. They are too stiff to press with a finger, so you'll end up using a screwdriver or two leading to nicks and gouges in the plastic and a very awkward struggle to get all 3 disengaged at the same time in order to remove the extension. 4. instead of being straight, the nozzle extension has a severe angle at the end that makes the user have to rotate the handle even further forward exacerbating the wrist and arm fatigue. Since I often had to put the nozzle tip flat over the leaves to pick them up, I found myself having to switch hands often or take breaks as my arm and hand were just too tired. About the only thing this is good for is picking up dry leaves AFTER you have raked them into a pile. Even then, it simply isn't up to the task even on the highest speed setting. I bought this to vacuum leaves and fallen flowers from my hibiscus and plant beds. If I have to rake them out first, then there really is no point in having this device. Sorry Worx, but this one needs to go back to the engineering design team.

Worked well
The mulching was good for dried leaves. The blower worked nice.

POWERFUL! Great for blowing and vaccuuming.
A really cool machine that does what it's supposed to do and does it really well. Surprisingly powerful! Moves a ton of air in and out. Mulching was VERY effective. Just little tiny compact leaf particles. I bought this on sale and am delighted with the value proposition. It is fairly big but not heavy. Might be a little cumbersome for some people. I like the challenge and am very very happy with this purchase. Recommended!
