Will it work for a Ford

It's universal, you can tap into the rear speaker, in the trunk and run it to the high level input connector on the unit.

My factory head unit puts out a 1v-2v signal, Will this unit boost that up for a new amplifier?

Yes it will definitely boost it up

Will this work better compared to the LC2iPro?

No it's works the same i own both can not tell the difference. Plus theNVX Iis a better price for the money no difference n the sound quality

So is this just to add a sub amp or can it work on a 4 channel for mids and highs also?

Yes, you need an rca splitter for the 4 channel from the main output and run the sub alone from the sub output. The main and sub are left and right only ( no front and rear) that's why if you want to run a 4 channel amp you need that splitter.
