Cleans great but read the reviews for helpful pointers
I wish I could give 4.5 stars. The Vevor record cleaner does a great job but it definitely has a few faults. I encourage you to read through all of the reviews. This way youโll be prepared and can avoid some of the common pitfalls. As long as you heed the warnings, the machine will work great. To summarize: 1. It really deep cleans the records, removing tons of dust from the surface and deep in the grooves. My first photo shows the grit accumulated in the bottom of the pan after washing about 20 records. Itโs not perfect - there will still be some pops and crackles - but itโs a huge improvement, especially if you have really old dirty records (I buy most of mine used and some are in rough shape). 2. There are basically no instructions. There were just a few photos showing how to assemble the motor spindle and mount the records and separator discs. 3. There are NO instructions to assemble the drying rack. But if you watch some of the product videos on Amazon, youโll briefly see the rack assembled and can figure it out. Iโm also posting a photo of the rack which might help. 4. There are no instructions about what kind of fluid or solution to use. This is where the other reviews can be very helpful. Definitely fill the tank with distilled water. I followed the advice in one review and added a few drops of Dawn dish detergent and a few drops of Jet Dry. Some people use Simple Green or they add hydrogen peroxide or isopropyl alcohol to kill mold and mildew. 5. You have to be careful connecting the axle (that holds the records) to the motor spindle. Thereโs a flat surface on the spindle and the set screw has to be lined up with that flat area. Then you can push the axle all the way in and tighten the screw. 6. Thereโs a nut that holds the albums and the plastic separator discs onto the axle. Be sure to tighten it pretty good or else the vibration will shake the nut loose and all the records will drop into the tank. Even though I had read about this in other reviews, I didnโt get it tight enough the first time and, sure enough, everything dropped into the tank. 7. The motor turns pretty fast. I think it really helps clean the records better if you can slow it down so each part of the record remains submerged longer. A few reviewers recommended a DC voltage regulator to reduce the voltage and slow down the motor. So I ordered one at the same time I ordered the Vevor. It cost me about $14 on Amazon. Iโve included a photo of it. This particular voltage regulator comes with about eight different adapters so you can connect it to a whole bunch of different things that might use DC voltage. (It didnโt require an adapter to connect to the Vevorโs motor, but itโs nice to have them). The Vevor motor is 24V and I set the regulator to 5 or 6V, which slowed it down to about 1/4 of the regular speed. 8. Even after a thorough cleaning with the Vevor, I still go through my usual routine of cleaning each record with an anti-static bristle brush and my trusty Discwasher brush thingie. Iโm gradually working my way through my collection of about 400 LPโs. I listen to a few as I finish each batch. Iโm really pleased with how clean they turn out.

Works well for a good price.
Ideal for handguns. It works well, has decent capacity and heats up surprisingly fast. The only advice is to place any mental gun parts after cleaning immediately in a oil bath to prevent flash rusting. It will clean firearms very rapidly and leave them with nothing but bare metal or whatever finishes on the gun. Always remove grips before using. Not for regular cleaning, but for periodic deep cleaning.

Great quality, great CS, works better than expected...
Works better than expected. For the cost i was amazed, had tools looking brand new getting all the oil and grim off. Had to contact support and they were extremely easy to work with. Made from stainless steel material and seems very sturdy and industrial.

Works well, but no directions for drying rack. great value for money
This is a great item for the price. It does exactly what I need it to, but I don't think I needed the heating coil. Make sure you add enough water each time you use it (2/3+ tank minimum). It is loud because it works. I use plain water from the tap with a tiny bit of pure (no dye) dish soap for like 10-12 minutes + on old records. Then I add filtered (reverse osmosis or membrane filter) or distilled water for the rinse. Then air dry. I think that's all you need. The dry rack is set up as follows: set up the two flat pieces parallel from each other and parallel to the ground. Then attach 2 of the sticks to the top of each piece while both are still resting on a table. Now attach the second 2 sticks but closer together and on the lower slots. Finally, make the "teeth" of the sticks on the top horizontal, and on the bottom, vertical. The purpose of the rack is to make a stand for the 12" records so they are secure and don't fall over when they dry. It took me a while to figure out how to set it up. Finally, before you turn on the motor to spin the records when they are in the tank, make sure that the records in the bath have room on each side of the tank so that they can spin. Otherwise they won't spin and I wonder if it will burn out the motor Cheers

Finally: An Economical Ultrasonic Cleaner, for Vinyl Too!
I bought this with the primary goal of using it for (vinyl) record cleaning. Plusses! * Effective and economical ultrasonic cleaning * Adjustable heat * MVP spacers for records * Simultaneously clean up to 4 records Minuses ): * Vinyl spacers could be better * Motor mounting is for cave man * Axle mounting could be better Also Know * Temp gauge is inaccurate (meh) * Noisy!!! (meh) * BYOB This unit is dead simple to use. Just be aware the printed thermostat calibration could be pretty far off (mine reads really low). Ultrasound cycle is limited to 30 minutes max on a dial timer. No worries there. Using this for vinyl? It comes with 5 plastic discs, a spacer cylinder, and a nut that all stack onto an axle that spins around in the water bath (slowly) thank to the driver motor/axle assembly that hangs on one side of the unit. The motor thang is nice and is mounted in aluminum cast. There is no consideration for mounting this aluminum body to the edge of the bath itself, so I used a bit of packing material to pad the interface. An axle attaches to the motor shaft with a collar and set screw--the screw is cheap and will strip if you put pressure on it. And it will work loose at some point anyway because the thread pitch is from kindergarten. This could be a lot better. The axle is a nicely machined part. Why forsake a decent set screw? The PTFE spacers are ok. They could be better engineered for this purpose though. I think the material is fine. The radius falls slightly short of covering some labels -- these spacers are supposed to protect the labels. It would also be better if they had a shallow bore so that bulgy labels would be enveloped instead of causing a spacer to simply gap out. I don't mind the inaccurate temp dial. It's not that far off, and it doesn't detract from my ability to use it. For vinyl, you only need 1/5th of the scale anyway. It is noisy and horrible sounding and terrible for ears. All of those. I wear ear plugs around it, and I put it in the basement. That works for me. For vinyl cleaning, or anything else for that matter, you're on your own as far as chemicals and process. Stay safe folks!

I never imagined what a difference this would make.
As a vinyl junkie for over 50 years, I've always prided myself on having pristine records, always clean, using manual cleaners, discwasher and other systems to keep my records clean. I have records from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. Nothing works anywhere near what this system does. I've been cleaning my full collection, 4 discs at a time, and it's hard to believe the difference. I've taken new records that sounded muddy and gotten crystal clear fidelity from them. I've taken 50+ year old records that were covered in dust and made them sound like new. I've assumed in the past that if I couldn't see the dirt, the record was clean, but when you put them in for a 30 minute bath, there are small piles of silt in the bottom of the cleaner. When I drain the bath and let it dry, it's a very fine grit on the bottom. I typically clean 12 to 20 records between water changes. I use a simple formula of a few drops of Dawn dishwashing soap to break down any oils, a few drops of Jetdry finish dishwasher fluid to break surface tension, and about a half cup of hydrogen peroxide to kill any mold or fungus. Then fill the tank with filtered water. This costs about 20 cents a tank at most. I then use a home made wet vac attachment to suck the fluid off each record when I pull it out. This keeps any water from drying on the album itself. The results are dramatic, it's not just in the reduction of clicks and pops but also the sonic quality dramatically improves. One example was on a Traffic album where the music build to a crescendo, it always sounded muddy, vocals were hard to distinguish, keyboards muffled, etc, now comes out clear as ever. The vocals come out cleaner, the high end is clearer. I'm 90% of the way through my collection and I can't believe the difference it's making. I've attached photos of the silt on the bottom of the bath after 8 records, which looked clean, and of my wet vac tool. If you have a large collection or buy vinyl on a regular basis, this is the best investment you can make. I have about 2000 albums, so cost per album cleaned is less than a penny. You could probably make a side business cleaning other's vinyl collections!

Huge Sound Difference on Records
This made a significant difference on a lot of my records snap crackle pops. It especially helped on new vinyl albums that were not clean sounding, sometimes covered in bits of paper or whatever from the factory. In addition, it's currently more affordable than other sonic options, which I just can't fathom the others doing that much better of a job than this machine. Also, I did try other less expensive cleaning methods leading up to this (velvet brush, carbon fiber brush...) and they only got so far. I haven't had a one come out dead quiet, if that is what you are looking for, not going to happen, but still tremendously helped raise the level of quality on every single record I've cleaned so far (currently about 35 and I've excitedly listed to the all of them after each cleaning.) Enough to confidently say this is not snake oil and makes a difference. I use distilled water with the Groovewasher ultrasonic fluid. It's pricey, but the records come out beautiful and it is relatively easy to apply to the process. I also found I get better results when I use the velvet brush (wetted with cleaning fluid) prior to ultrasonic (sort of like the "spin clean" machine.) I think this helps loosen anything in the grooves a bit more. I've never had a label get wet, the fluid just flows off the vinyl perfectly as it slowly spins. I also haven't had any issues with the water heating up, it gets there within a matter of a few minutes. Nor have I had any rusting. I knew it was going to be loud, but sound doesn't bother me and have even played video games (with headphones on), in the same room the cleaner is going. The sound also doesn't carry much at all though a room with a closed door or garage (happy wife, happy life.) I would recommend setting the timer for at least 20 minutes per record and do one record at a time. I was doing 15 minutes at first and found those 5 extra minutes yields better results. I did run a couple of the more crackle-y records though a couple of times and each time, the difference was heard. I ran one especially bad record 3 times, it went from painfully unlistenable, to something I don't mind keeping and enjoying. I've never put more than one record on the spindle at a time, so I could not tell you how well it does with multiples going through. What it doesn't do is fix damage. Skips from scratches aren't magically going to go away, but you will see them better because the record will be super clean. Be careful with the metal threaded spindle when removing the record and when using their wonky drying rack. Don't forget to remove the hard plastic overlapping separator label protector thing before pulling off the record (I did this twice, luckily the disc missed the record both times when falling into the vat.) Finally, you do not receive a metal basket, which would have been nice since I was wanting to use this for other items and will have to buy one separately. You should get a tiny spherical basket though.

Customer Service Lacking
Updated on 08/17/2023. After informing the company that the return date had expired they agreed to send another replacement. Last night all traces of my ticket on the Vevor site had been deleted and after seeing what the "new" replacement looked like while unboxing, I might have my answer as to why. (See attached images of replacement #2). The "new" replacement is like the one I originally ordered having the same design flaw where the shaft that connects to the motor is not made properly so where you attach the shaft to the motor spindle the screw hole is in the wrong place (to high) and will not attach firmly and will keep falling off. But it's not so much that they sent another with the design flaw but how this unit looks. There is a thick white something coating the outside of the tank (looks like mold) that clearly looks as if someone tried to wipe it off but failed miserably attempting it. Inside tank has a hard hit/indentation. Multiple liquid/water stains in tank. Rust and pitting on drain hole inside tank. Signs of usage/scratches on knobs. Scratches everywhere on outside of tank. Indentations on front control panel. Large gap where drain hole exits from the tank. Don't know what else to say as I am taken aback by what they are sending as replacements. (Original Review Below) Pros: Have owned this for a little over 2 months. Cleaned 91 records and results are generally very good. The device does a good job of getting the gunk out of the grooves leaving a very clean looking surface. Playback is better 90% of the time with the remaining being no change and sometimes after cleaning the record actually sounds worse. I've put nearly clean, slightly dirty and mold covered thru the cleaning process and this does remove everything. Is it noisy? Yup. But as mentioned by many, if you have a separate room to put it in that's the way to go. As for cleaning time. I've tried up to 20 minutes and as short as 5 minutes and my results (yours may vary) is that 5 minutes is long enough if you use a lower voltage power supply to slow the motor rotation down. Which now brings me to the cons of the device and the customer service from the manufacturer. Cons: Out of the box there was some issues right away. The inner portion of the tank had visible spots (water/liquid) and a deep scratch There was a nasty orangish thick substance and black substance (black looks like mold) that was in the drain hole. The timer has gotten stuck once. And like so many other reviewers state the shaft that connects to the motor is not made properly so where you attach the shaft to the motor spindle the screw hole is in the wrong place (to high) and isn't attaching firmly and keeps falling off. I'm one of the lucky ones in that when it has come apart it's after I have removed the motor assembly off of the tank so no damage has occurred to any records. But clearly if made properly this wouldn't happen. So contacted the manufacturer Vevor (it takes them 24 hours to respond) and things started out well enough. They initially wanted to send a new shaft but changed their minds and wanted to send a whole new Ultrasonic cleaner. As the original one I purchased wasn't in stock they sent a different one that is exactly like the Happybuy Ultrasonic Cleaner that is sold on here (same cleaner/different brand name). Provided them with the info the requested, they had an issue on their end and requested same info before when they realized they had placed the wrong abbreviation for my location and then said tracking info would be provided (it wasn't) and "new" cleaner arrived. So why do I say "new"? Removed from the box and as plain as the big nose on my face, this "new" cleaner had an even larger amount of scratches in the tank. Outer portion of the tank has lots of scratches as well, slight inward bend in the section where the motor mount attaches to the tank but the best is the lower portion of the outside off the tank on all four sides and bottom there is rust/water damage. There is no way I will plug this in as this appears to have been immersed in water and who knows what is going on in side of it. Contacted Vevor customer support again providing them with pictures, Response was "do you mean it arrived and was damaged again?". So another response to that with even more pictures showing how the "new" one arrived. 24 hours later their final response is (now it's important to remember this is supposed to come with a one year warranty) "contact Amazon for a full refund". Not sure how I would do that as it's beyond the return/refund time limit. With that said. Original cleaner does clean but part keeps falling off. "New" replacement has rust/water damage. One year warranty that appears to not exist. And no solution. Can't recommend due to all I have stated. Pictures are added to show all issues.

Great cleaning power but quite noisy!
Unfortunately I'm having to return my cleaner and the wife couldn't stand the noise. But it really did wonders to the one batch of 3 records I tried it on. It's suitable for all record types including shellac and will remove almost all crackle that isn't caused by record damage. Stubborn marks will not be removed however or may need a longer treatment period. The item is well packed and comes with a handy drying rack and basket in case you wanted to clean jewelry.
