This shower filter works! Yes, you will see a slight reduction in pressure, but that’s to be expected if you’re actually properly filtering your water. For me it’s not enough to discourage me from using since my pressure was really good to start with and wasn’t altered all that much. I find that replacing the filters is super easy and does not involve removing the entire device and shower head. I also appreciate that it doesn’t move the position of the shower head too much. This is something you must consider, especially if you’re tall. The frequency of filter replacement is entirely dependent on how bad your water is. Mine is terrible, so every 4 to 5 weeks is necessary. The only issue I had was upon initial installation. It’s very easy to cross thread if you’re not exactly centered since it’s made of plastic. That said, even if it broke tomorrow, I would buy this again!

If you have an apartment or an older house that won't accommodate a whole house water filtration system, this is the ideal solution for filtered water in the shower. It's easy to install, there's no noticeable drop in water pressure after installing it. One tip: Be sure to use lots of the white plumbers tape on the shower arm connection AND on the white plastic connection from the filter to the shower head. When I first installed it the connection between the filter and the shower head leaked when the water was on, as I had used a small amount of plumbers tape. After removing the shower head and wrapping a liberal length of plumbers tape around the white plastic connector-- all the way up to the base of the filter housing, then reconnect the shower head and turn on the water. Every connection was tight and leak free.

This filter is great. But I’m going to let you in on a little hack. To preserve the filters it’s important after you use them to unscrew them and let out the water and pour the water out of the plastic and rinse them with filtered water or clean water andset them out to dry. This will preserve the filters and stop them from turning yellow within one week. I use these filters in my guest house. I took a shower in the guest house, one time and one week later the white filter was yellow from water sitting inside of the plastic housing. What I did was, I added a little OxiClean into a small container with lukewarm water and I set the white filter in it overnight and then rinsed it with filtered hot water then dried it. Let it air dry for one night even though I continue to buy more filters to replace each one. This is just a simple hack. I use to preserve or reuse the filters longer. Nobody has to take this advice. This is just what I do because the filters turned brown after one use for holding water into the housing, causing it to turn brown within one use.

Saw an immediate difference on the first shower! Wasn’t any chlorine smell (didn’t even notice until after attaching the filter) and there wasn’t any hard water! After a week you could see the white filter was brown and doing its job. It was simple to install and straightforward. I definitely recommend!

Our home has well water that has a slight sulfur smell. The smell was most noticeable for us when showering. After much research, we decided to spend a little more on this shower filter. It was very easy to install, our water feels cleaner, and no more sulfur smell during our showers! The water pressure is slightly reduced but that was to be expected and it’s not super noticeable. We are very happy with this purchase!

I really wanted this to work for me since I did notice a difference in eczema but only for the 1st week since these filters don't last beyond that in New York City apparently. If I were to stick with these, the cost to owning Weddell filters would be in the $500 -$600 range annually. If you can afford that in the K-shaped economy, then perhaps this review doesn't apply to you. After shower head filters came on the market I waited sometime before deciding to look into purchasing one because I am wary of jumping on social media trends for self care. However, after traveling for a while with noticable improvements to my eczema, I decided to look into the options for filters since many people world wide seemed to recommended variations. I did a lot of research on google, youtube, and reddit which is what landed me on The Weddell duo. The NSF certification was attractive and most of the reviews I saw out there (initially) were positive. However, New York City was one location where people had complaints. I brushed them off because many of the reviews were from people who reported to live in older buildings, which in NYC translates to pre-1990's. I live in a newer building so I assumed the filter longevity and water pressure issues were exclusive to older plumbing. I was very wrong. As previously mentioned, when the filter works I did notice an improvement. Problem is the filters get clogged after 10 days. The photos attached show Day 1 and then Day 10 - with the water pressure on Day 10. Customer service offered me solutions about trouble shooting connectivity issues. After trying all their suggestions with no improvements, they offered me either a refund or complimentary filters that I could try, and then after the water pressure drops, I could just "take out the right side filter" to extend the life of the other filter. Regretfully I tried their suggestion of running with half the filter, which I guess did give me a little more time but unfortunately put me outside the return window. I have a feeling they know about these issues within certain municipals. If they didn't before, they should after I sent them many links with reviews citing these same problems in certain cities. I feel like I was gaslit. One place I was definitely influenced to buy this was from The Water Guru on YouTube and I recently went back to look at the comments and many people are having the same issues as me. He has even made a new video showing an extra attachment a person can build to get the Weddell Duo to work but personally I don't want my shower looking like a SCUBA dive center. In conclusion, if you're in NYC don't get bamboozled like I did or if you can afford to replace frequently, then these will work out great.

Excellent! Water pressure takes a huge hit as the filters get used up, but I have no other complaints. Installation was as easy as it gets, changing the filters takes five minutes, no leakage or quality issues. Water feels great. For the price, it's great!

Wow it’s almost insane how fast my hair sprung back to its natural softer texture I grew up with after just one shower, I can’t believe I suffered through so many bad hair days in this apartment and all along I needed this filter. No obvious sediment so I suppose it was mostly the chlorine. Even the smell is gone? Apparently my water had a slight smell to it that I only noticed had existed once it was clearly gone. Installed in just a few minutes, I attached my dual shower head and it all feels very sturdy. No leaks at all! I do notice a small difference in water pressure but for how clean and happy I feel I couldn’t care less.

Definitely the best product I’ve bought off Amazon this year. Very friendly and helpful customer service team helped keep me updated during the delivery which was very comforting. Super easy to install, noticed the difference straight away and definitely worth buying. Water flow is super soft, clean and just natural. It fitted my shower perfectly and works brilliantly. Will definitely be buy another one soon. Hair already seems less dull and skin feels amazing even after my first use. Hope to upload before and after pictures soon
