Excellent Quality Buckwheat Groats
These buckwheat groats are fresh, clean, and excellent quality. They cook up perfectly and have a wonderful nutty flavor that works well in breakfast bowls, grain dishes, soups, and meal prep. I appreciate that they are gluten-free, non-GMO, and made with simple, wholesome ingredients. The texture is great, and the bag provides excellent value. A nutritious pantry staple that I will definitely buy again. Highly recommend!

Great hulled product
Great quality organic product at a good value in price. This is hulled product so if youโre used to purchasing buckwheat that is darker and nuttier tasting this may seem quite light in flavor and stickier.Nothing much to note other than that, but I have purchased other brands and this will likely be the one I continue with.

Not the "original" taste, but OK.
If you have Eastern European background and expect this to taste like what your Mom/Grandma used to make, that's not it. It's light in color, and texture after cooking will be off, too mushy, and flavor is not as defined and nutty as the proper "grechka". Whoever is telling you it is, is lying to you.I placed some of this buckwheat in a small pot and added boiling water in proportions 1 to 3, and let it sit. Boiled after about 2-3 hours on low heat until all the water was absorbed, added salt and butter.I think it may need a bit of roasting upfront, will try it next.Overall, I will not buy it again because it's not what I'm used to, but it is healthy, apparently, otherwise clean and easy to cook.
