Is it good for chopping pork ribs?

For what this hatchet is designed for, it's absolutely fabulous - well balanced, a good weight and very sharp. Perhaps you should be looking at specialized kitchen equipment as I think it would be a bit over the top for chopping pork ribs. And it is not stainless steel which is a must for dealing with food.

Says this item is available for click and collect but does not allow this at purchase point. Why is this misleading and inaccurate detail allowed?

It's not misleading. Some countries allow click and collect buy others (quite rightly) don't want someone walking around with a deadly weapon....
