Product Description ------------------- Suttons marigold African space hopper seed gives well tried and tested marigold producing vigorous s with compact foliage that does not compete with the masses of very large, bright orange flowers. Great value garden filler. Blooms are long lasting and ideal for cutting. 50 cm height. Half-hardy annual. Culture: sow February-April in gentle heat. Flowers June-September. Ideal for beds, border and patio containers. Drought resistant. Prefers full sun. Easy to grow s that will provide a spectacular display of large flowers all summer long, and are a must for a sunny border. Sowing and growing - Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approximate 15 to 20 degree C using a good quality, moist compost. Cover the with 6 mm sieved compost (Germination 5 to 14 days). Trans seedlings spaced out 5 cm apart in trays and grow on in good light. Acclimatise s gradually before ing out 30 cm apart in an open sunny position. Alternatively sow direct outside April/May into finely raked, moist, warm, weed-free soil. Try ing with blue Ageratum and white Alyssum for contrast. Quality control - This seed has been carefully tested to ensure high germination. Prior to use, store in a dry cool place.
