Beware
I was very disappointed by these. The buckle for the underfoot strap is too large for the strap, and doesn't have any of those little plastic teeth (or anything else) to help hold the strap in place. The central part of the buckle is very smooth and perfectly rounded - which actually facilitates strap slippage. With considerable difficulty, I managed (several times) to double up the parts of the straps that threaded through the buckles, which made them somewhat more stable, but they still came undone - one day, twice within the space of about half an hour. They'd probably be OK to protect trousers for home gardening (if somewhat irritating) as long as you weren't walking around much; but in slippery conditions (such as mud, or Ice & snow as I was), the last thing anyone needs is for the underfoot strap to be constantly coming undone even at double thickness. There are 3 photos depicting these gaiters being worn over the top of crampons, but wearing them underneath crampons was actually the only way that I was able to wear them safely at all (it was only the tension & grip of the crampons over the top of the straps that prevented them from slipping loose). At a time when I really needed these (and was unable to use crampons), I ended up removing them because the strap slippage was a bigger danger to me (walking on ice in thick snow) than having freezing, wet legs was - which should clearly indicate how unfit for purpose they truly are. My partner had a cheaper pair which outperformed these by a long shot. If I need a pair in future for use in potentially slippery conditions (or for general use if I'm going to be walking more than about 75 metres), I'll buy a different brand - these will probably stay in the bottom of a drawer until they rot.

Broke after second use but new pair sent
Very disappointed i walk alot in mountains and needed half decent pair of gaiters to stop the deep mud and water out of boots but after just two uses the elastic draw string broke leaving one gaiter useless. These were not the cheapest pair so thought would be well made. What a mistake!!! UpdateThe seller sent new pair the next day so lets hope these dont break!! Am giving extra 2 stars because of the excellent customer service

They do the job
Easy to fit and reasonably comfortable. I cut off the straps that pass under the boot though, they kept coming undone and clogged with mud but the gaiters work perfectly well without them. Excellent protection against those nasty ticks!

Kept leeches away!
Legs and feet well protected from leeches in Borneo jungle. Got my hands instead....
