is this dart board appropriate for a 14 year old? the reviews (etc.) keep talking about younger kids.

Bought it for my 14 year old daughter. It's a great gift but the board scuffs easily.

Waterprood if left outside?

I would say no because the actual board is not waterproof. We only had it a couple of days before the darts stopped sticking to the board. It was useless after a couple of days. We never took it outdoors.
