Worked flawlessly for a 300 mile move. KLR650 towed on a Honda CRV. I used my own ratchet straps- four of them. It leans and straightens without issue. Backing up is a nightmare- do not recommend. I didn’t want to disconnect the drive chain so I kept it running in neutral with the idle very low, and my bike is fine. Anyone experienced with towing bikes on a trailer should be able to secure their bike on this just fine.

Stay away from this, the concept seems viable at the beginning but its impossible to use properfly, it will make your bike fall, plus it doesnt have clear instructions.

So I bought the product thinking it might work out for me. Yes, I did read the previous reviews. After installing and testing it out, I've concluded that you should only use this in case of emergency only. First of all, product came in a box. All of the parts are there. You have to assemble. If you watch the video, and a little intuition, you'll assemble it fine. As for actual usage, it's a different story. First of all, you have to set it down so that you can walk your bike onto the wheel choke. Then, you have to strap the front wheel onto the wheel choke real tight. Now comes the difficult part; you have to use the handle and try to lift the front wheel high enough so you can push the lock pin in. If you are using the handlebar alone, it is impossible. I tried greasing it and used my whole body weight. The handle bar cannot lift the wheel choke (with the front wheel strapped in) high enough to the lock pin position. As a solution, I lifted the wheel choke just high enough so I can put a car jack underneath. Then, I used the car jack to raise the wheel choke (with motorcycle front wheel strapped on tight) up high enough to push in the lock pin. That was how I was able to raise the wheel choke. Not done yet. Now, I have to strap the bike down real well to prevent the "lean" that everyone is taking about. I used the "canyon handlebar" strap so that the handlebar is stabilized. However, when driving and turning, the bike does lean. No matter how tight the straps are, the bike WILL lean when you are turning. Go SLOW!!! When the car straightens out, the bike does straighten. Needless to say, it raises your anxiety level thinking what if the straps break while turning (if turning at higher speed)? In conclusion, with the difficulty of raising the bike up, and witnessing how the bike leans, i don't recommend this product for recreational usage (like towing your bike for long trip). I only recommend to use this if you do not have a trailer and it's an EMERGENCY to tow your bike to the shop. Hope that helps make your decision. Ride safe!

The unit is very heavy grade steel. The bad is no directions are included only the parts sheet. If you use the part sheet as instructions, it gets all messed up. I used several of the product pictures on a tablet to build mine correctly. This product is offered by several sellers, some have more in-depth photos to build from. Tools needed are 4 wrenches or two crescent or slip joint pliers. 5 stars if proper accurate instructions were included. Missing instructions drop it by 2. The photo is the only thing in the box to work from.
