Smooth Pens / Excellent B
These gel pens are outstanding for the price. Iโve tested a little under half of them so far and every one that Iโve used has gone on smoothly, with no skipping or scratchy lines. The colors donโt always match the caps, so make a color chart or test them together before using. I bought the 120 color option and am super pleased with the variety of colors and shades. Even the colors that look the same lay down different depending on the choicesโฆflat, sparkle, metallic. I found they dry relatively quickly and donโt bleed through decent weight coloring paper. Attached is a sample picture from โJoyous Bloomsโ I did try out various colors. Almost everything in the page was done with these gel pens. Great purchaseโฆhave already recommended to a friend whoโs new to adult coloring and needs a larger variety of inexpensive mediums. My first one complaint echos others. The plastic container that the pens come in is absolutely worthless for storing the pens. Itโs too difficult to get them in and out and itโs flimsy to boot. I would suggest either storing them horizontally in a drawer or better yet, buying a pen / pencil organizer for them. That way youโll be better able to organize the colors / types of pens.

Colorful projects
The colors are bright and the pens glide smoothly. You have to be careful that you don't smear them by touching the ink before it dries. The pens seem to be fine. Easy to use and comfortable to hold. And they were a fantastic find for such a low price. The only thing I didn't like was the plastic pouches to store them in. It was difficult to keep them from sliding around and then they wouldn't snap closed properly. I sorted them by color and used some mugs (because who doesn't have more mugs than they need) to stand them up in. The mugs also make it easier to choose just the right color for the project I'm working on. I suppose that the plastic storage sleeves might be useful if you are traveling. I find it easier to choose the (maybe) dozen I want to use for a project and carry them in a fabric pouch.

Bought for the Kidsโฆ But I May Have Claimed a Set for Myself
I got these Caliart Gel Pens for the kids, thinking theyโd be a fun little treat for coloring books, doodling, and craftingโand WOW, they were an instant hit! The kids were thrilled by the huge variety of colors, and I was impressed by how smooth they write. We're talking glitter, metallic, neonโbasically a whole rainbow of happiness in one box. Theyโre great for everythingโcoloring, journaling, card-making, decorating notebooks, and even writing mysterious glittery notes to siblings (ask me how I know). The fine point is perfect for detail work, and the ink flows so smoothly that even my younger kid felt like a professional artist. No skipping, no smudging, and the colors are bold and vibrant. The best part? These pens really do last longer. That "40% more ink" claim isnโt just marketing fluffโtheyโre still going strong after weeks of enthusiastic use. Also, the storage case actually helps keep things organized (shocking, I know), so Iโm not constantly finding runaway pens under the couch. I'll admitโฆ I did steal a few for myself. Theyโre perfect for journaling and pretending Iโm way more organized and artsy than I actually am. I may have labeled a few file folders just so I could keep using them. Overall, whether you're shopping for kids, teens, crafty adults, or yourself (even if you pretend it's โfor the childrenโ), these pens are worth it. Fun, functional, and fabulously colorfulโhighly recommend!

THE PEN REPORT
First disclaimer, I bought these on sale. I've had them in my cart for a while now and as soon as they went on sale, I left flaming tracks behind me adding them to cart as fast as I could. I love these. Even if I didn't buy them on sale I would have loved them no matter what. So getting them on sale meant that they are even better. I went through the motions to put them through a little test to try them all out. I tried them on 2 sheets of paper. Regular plain white printer paper and a black paper that resembles something between cardstock and regular craft construction paper. I did both in a natural day light window setting and a flash photo from my phone. I have to say I'm impressed and I love these so much. I originally bought them for using on white paper, things like journaling and other arts and crafts. I have written them out as the way they cam in the package top to bottom. With that being said, they are amazingly smooth to write with, I didn't get any skipping, if at all. They are vibrant and over all just a joy to write with. They look great on white paper and maybe other light colored paper. How ever, the black paper didn't fare to well and here's why I think it didn't. Not only because the testing showed me so, but my theory is. The way the ink looks, it has a "jelly" sheerness to to that may not be opaque to the fullest. Even the solid colors including the white was not opaque, so crafts on darker paper won't show up as well. It pretty much soaked it up drying sheer. The glitters, have translucent base and so do some of the metallics. Buuuuuut considering I didn't buy them for dark background crafts, I'll let that slide. They can be built up to a decent opacity shown in some of the photos listed without to much hassle. As far as I can tell the casing holding the ink do look larger and hold more than a standard one. I don't have any Gel pens like them to compare it to, but looking from one of my standard colored pens. They do look about half to twice the size larger than normal. With the plain printer paper and more than likely standard collage rulled paper, it will be able to be seen a little on the backside, but the pens don't actually seem to bleed through. Some of the pens did seem to let out a little more ink at the beginning of some of the writing but nothing to bad. I am usually a hard pressure writer so I had to back off a little to not get that ball drag line in the center of each stroke. That's just me though not necessarily the pens. Long story short. Get them. ๐

The best set by far
I am an artist in my free time and I have bought a TON of gel Pens over the course of my hobby. This set is by far my favorite in the affordable category. The colors are vibrant and good quality. They work, which is rare, as most sets have at least a handful of pens that have air bubbles or have dried out. The colors options are vast in this set, and I will always return to this set when I run low on my pen supplies. Trust me I've tried around 50 different gel pen sets. This is the one

Ink stops flowing
The colors are nice but with many of the pens the ink stops flowing at some point even as the ink barrel is half-filled or more. Sometimes blowing on the ink barrel will get the ink flowing again but that trick does not always work. I would put this affecting approximately 1/4 of all the pens. Hence I am less than enthused. (If anyone knows how to get the ink going again, I'm all ears!)
