Very practical
This is an extremely practical, no-frills book about book repair that anyone can use. It contains a list of tools/supplies. The author gives you warnings about when NOT to bother repairing a book (especially if you are a book seller). Then, the author systematically goes through the most common book repair scenarios and, usually, several solutions to each one. If you even have just one good book that needs some cleaning, taping or other repairs, you should definitely look at this book.

The grail of book repair.
This book offers several different techniques for each problem. You choose the technique that is most comfortable to you. Not a lot of pages, but I'm more of an action speaks louder than words type of guy. Find the problem, find the solution, and get to work! I also thoroughly enjoyed the supply list. Now I have all the tools, and it's just a matter of experience with the techniques. Book repair, in my opinion, is fun. This book spells it all out. And gets you going. I'll use this book a lot for repairing my personal library. Great and easy to understand.

An amature's opinion
Clearing out and found several books that were my mother's and my grandmothers from the late nineteenth and early twentieth century with loose binding and torn pages that for sentimental reasons I want to save the books - had no idea how without spending tons of money to have the books professionally preserved - not in my pocketbook and so this book is guiding me to some easy fixes that I had no idea how it was done - the fixes are easy to follow with materials listed for each fix...

Pragmatic solutions
This is a very useful book. Note, the author does NOT address reattachment of a detached board (cover). This is a complex procedure best left to a pro if the book is valuable enough to warrant it.

Not Just for Booksellers: An indispensible reference for booklovers & librarians too
I am a book lover, a former librarian, and a professional bookseller. I have owned this handy guide in every edition yet published, and keep the latest one always at hand. I have *never* had a book repair question that it could not answer, and the results that I have obtained by following its clear and detailed instructions have been excellent, extending the life and improving the appearance of my books. Book Repair for Booksellers: A guide for booksellers offering practical advice on book repair has paid for itself time and again. The author also maintains a website where videos of repair techniques may be viewed, and repair supplies purchased at reasonable cost.

Book Repair for Booksellers is a Must Have
This book has everything you need on how to repair old books. It is well written and easy to understand. The Table of Contents is well organized. I am not a bookseller but instead have a fascination for old books. Every old book that I treasure is not in good shape. This book helps you not only improve the esthetics of the book but also to repair the functionality of the book. It covers stains, pencil markings, gum, ect. This is a must have! I am definitely happy with my purchase.

Book repair for booksellers by J Godsey
This book was helpful for a new bookseller who is just getting into the business. I felt it was more for an experienced bookseller based on the type of book language used

Its worth it
Although some material is not easily found in my country I thought that those few chapters cover all the needs to repair s book. As I have some knowledge in this matter some material are not suitable for someone who wants their books last a lifetime, so you have tรด pay attention on that. But as theres not much books about this subject on the market I think this one its perfect if you dont want to spend too much money.
