Product works exactly as described and does the job well. I’m using it as a vent for a portable AC unit, and it performs great. My only suggestion would be to clearly state whether the 6-inch measurement refers to the inside diameter (ID) or outside diameter (OD)—the hose and vent were the exact same size, so I had to get creative and use duct tape to connect them. That said, it even came with bolts and a screwdriver, which was a nice bonus. I’d definitely buy it again. Great value and functionality.

I was pleasantly surprised with the gauge of this vent cap. I had expected it to be pretty flimsy, like what you would get from the big box stores. This unit is built well and should last a very long time. The damper moves freely.

this vent cap is meant for a 6 in pipe. area of the pipe opening is 27 sq in. area of the rectangular opening in the vent is 19 sq in. So airflow capacity is reduced by almost 1/3.

works good a bit too small compared to my previous vent. The vent flap opens good when a fan is running, but closes to not let the outside area in.
