After-Shave Balm

I’ve been using The Art of Shaving After-Shave Balm, and it’s been a solid addition to my routine. The texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly, so it doesn’t leave the skin feeling greasy or heavy. After shaving, it helps calm the skin and reduce irritation, which makes a noticeable difference, especially on sensitive areas. It also provides a good level of hydration, leaving the skin feeling smooth and refreshed without any residue. The scent is clean and not overpowering, which I prefer for everyday use. I'm really glad I treated myself to this After-Shave Balm. Obviously, it's not the cheapest option. But after a couple of uses, I was convinced it was worth every penny. The word "Balm" had me wondering. How thick is it, like a paste, or what? I needn't have worried. This ivory colored balm is about the thickness of any typical hand or face lotion -- maybe a bit thinner, actually. It's very, very smooth, and absorbs into the skin immediately, leaving behind only softer skin. Not a trace of oiliness or greasiness. My skin feels nicely moisturized for quite a while after use. And -- good news if you're wondering about value for money -- it's like the old time hair tonic slogan: "A little dab will do ya." Just a couple of pumps on the dispenser, a couple of dollops on your palm, is all you need. But it's the scent that's got me using it every day, whether I shave or not. I'm a big "Sandalwood" fan. I use quotes because actual sandalwood is very rare and expensive, and there's rarely even a trace of it in products using that word, and that's fine by me -- I usually like the smell of whatever the various other makers come up with to try and imitate sandalwood. But this The Art of Shaving balm uses pure sandalwood essential oil, along with shea butter and grapeseed extract. It's a subtle, earthy, completely non-perfumey scent -- I love it. Just one issue: the very small pump dispenser on my bottle tends to stick in the down position, I have to pop it back up with my thumb to get another dollop. No biggie. And be aware, this fine elixir comes in an actual glass bottle, so you're going to want to be careful using it around tile and porcelain.

Great product very little to no burn, the sandalwood smells great. I love the way it leaves my face feeling. You only need a very small amount, this helps to offset the price. I you look at different reviews you will see The Art of Shaving products recommended on most sites. I use the complete “The Art of Shaving “ system and I get the closest most comfortable shave I have ever had, I’m 65 so I have shaved a few times in my life, I will never use anything else. The price is steep., but you will be amazed at how small amount of the products you use each time.

My husband has an allergic reaction to must after shave. He tried this and found that it really soothes his skin. He uses it daily and his skin is clear. and unblemished. The scent is pleasant and mild.

This is a good aftershave balm, it soothes the skin, has a pleasant scent, and doesn't dry out. I really like this balm, but there are a few things that it could do better. 1. The scent, while its good without being overpowering, doesn't last for more than 5 minutes. if I didn't want a scent I would buy unscented, but I like to use the scent of a good aftershave over most colognes, but not everyone feels the same way about scents, thats more of a preference judgement. 2. There isn't any alcohol in this balm, which is why it doesn't dry the skin out, if you haven't tried an aftershave without alcohol do you and your skin a favor and try it right away, worlds of difference! But to replace the alcohol they use oils, and I think they use just a bit too much oil which makes it difficult to be completely absorbed by the skin. This isn't terrible, but it can be annoying at times to have the oily feeling for a few minutes after you're done shaving. Now, those things aren't deal breakers for me, but combined with the price of the bottle they become deal breakers. One can get a balm that is nearly as good (if you find the right one it could be even better) with a smaller price tag. If the two things I mentioned aren't an issue for you and you aren't worried about price then by all means get this balm because you will definitely enjoy it!

Bought this for my husband because of it's "romance novel-worthy scent", but he likes it for the way it leaves his skin after a shave. He has uber-sensitive skin on his face and this balm doesn't irritate his skin. Leaves it soft. It does seem expensive, but the after shave balm ticks all the boxes for how it soothes and smells. My husband doesn't have to use very much so the small bottle lasts and lasts. Treat yourself!

Expensive but worth the money. Lasts a long time as only two drops are required. Very smoothing after a shave. Scent goes on strong but fades quickly. Very satisfying and solves scent issues for those weak knead complainers.

Definitely helped my neck after shaving I honestly used to suffer with rashes and white spots. And after I switched to a double edge Razer I thought it might get worse but I've had no problems at all so I'mma really happy

The brand needs no introduction, and this particular product from TAOM is absolutely fantastic. If one has sensitive skin and shave daily, this product is perfect. The skin if left smooth and soft getting rejuvenated throughout the day.
