How to get a PERFECT install every time
A screen protector on your phone or tablet isn't a luxury. Over time, even the tiniest particles of dirt on your fingers will scratch your very expensive device's screen and all those micro-fine scratches add up over time. A sacrificial screen protector will allow you to preserve your device much longer. I usually replace mine every year or so. A multi-pack of screen protectors is a smart buy. I'm a former Apple Mac Genius and I've applied hundreds of screen protectors for customers over the years. These are by far the best screen protectors I've found. As a bonus, they are very inexpensive. They're extremely durable and fit petfectly. The kit includes everything you need for a professional install and there are enough supplies to use fresh materials (alcohol pads, cleaning stickies, and microfiber cloths) for each protector. HOW TO GET PERFECT RESULTS EVERY TIME The smallest dust particles, air bubbles, or alcohol streaks between your screen and the protector will drive you crazy. Follow the kit instructions and the following hints to insure the screen protector is completely invisible when you use your phone. If you do it right, you won't even know it's there. For a perfect install: 1. Take your time. 2. Be sure you're in a dust-free environment (it really matters). 3. Throughly wash and dry your hands to remove oils and dirt (powder-free latex gloves help for a clean install but are not included). 4. Remove the phone from it's case. 5. Thoroughly clean your screen before applying the protector. Use the alcohol pads in the kit, not medicine cabinet isopropol alcohol with has additives that will remain as streaks under the glass. 6. Thoroughly dry the screen. Even the tiniest alcohol residue will show up as a streak under the protector. We use a hair dryer to evaporate every last bit before using the included sticky pads to remove any remaining dust particles or lint from the microfiber cloth. 7. You can't clean the glass suface that faces the phone screen. It has a protective film to keep it clean, but once you remove the film you can't successfully clean the screen protector so leave the film on and do not touch the underside at all. 8. Be careful to line up the starting edge perfectly. The bigger the screen, the more critical it is to get the alignment right. 9. Start at the top so you get the camera notch lined up perfectly. You need to apply the glass progressively from the top edge to the bottom, almost like unrolling it. You don't want to just slap it on. The protector is somewhat flexible but it will snap if you really bend it so be gently. To keep the glass from adhering prematurely, only peel an inch or so of the film backing at a time while you lay the glass down holding the top edge firmly aligned with one hand and peeling the film backing with the other. 10. IMPORTANT--Allow the glass to initially adhere on it's own as you lower it from the top edge to the bottom until the entire screen is covered by the glass. There will be obvious bubbles--that's normal. 11. Check the alignment (especially over the camera at the top) and start over if it's not perfect (see below). 12. If the alignment is perfect, only then start to work out from the center of the glass to migrate any bubbles out to the edges. Get every last bubble out. They won't disappear on their own and you have a limited time window to squeeze them out. Use the microfiber cloth under your finger to press hard and scoot them out. Be persistent--even the smallest bubbles WILL move. If you didn't do a great job cleaning the screen you may get dust particles that will appear as tiny bubbles with a black dot in the middle. They will never go away. If you want to start over, scrap the screen protector because you can't clean the underside once the protective film is removed. It happens. Just start over and be more careful the next time. If you make a mistake with the alignment you CAN gently lift the edge and slowly pull the protector off and reapply it--but generally only once. After that the liklihood of getting dust under the surface greatly increases. Reapplying isn't usually successful. Most of the time you'll have to start over. Great product. You won't be disappointed.
