I will start by saying how much I love this coconut oil! I’ve been using it for the last 15 years for both skin and hair care. If you love the smell of coconut this is for you. I want to point out something that many folks seem to be unaware of. Yes, this coconut oil will most likely arrive in its sold state. This is COMPLETELY NORMAL, and not defective, so bear this in mind before leaving a bad review on an amazing product. Just like, say, butter for example, if you take it out of the refrigerator it’s going to be solidified; leave it at room temperature for a bit, and it’ll soften. It’s the same with pure coconut oil.

Excellent product, will order again! It did show up damaged but carrier did that, could have been packed better though!

Nasty smell! Still didn’t moisturize my hair. They don let you return it with. One you buy it the mast stays with you 😡

I like the coconut wax except the container it came in. I poked a hole in top to squeeze out the product. Nothing happened. I made it bigger and still nothing. So I cut off the top. The oil was somewhat hard inside. So I would suggest putting it in a different container.

"Healthy" also deserves quotes, I suppose. Same as fingernails or animal horns, as all hair is dead on a cellular level -- unromantic but true. I have "thirsty" (those quotes, again!) hair, and conditioner doesn't always seem to help much. I also have skin sensitivities, so after one manufacturer changed a formula on one of my faves for the worse, I decided to try coconut oil. The results are dramatic. My hair looks really nice, as shiny as it was in my 20s, it's soft again, and I'm feeling kind of like a dupe that I've been buying chemically formulated conditioner all these years. I agree with other reviewers that this oil, or at least the batch I got, seems to have something in it to keep it from solidifying (at least in a 70something degree bathroom) the way most culinary coconut oils will. It also doesn't have the same rich coconut flavor of my favorite brands, such as Nutiva Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, 29-Ounce Jars (Pack of 2) - but then it's filtered, and not extra-virgin. Probably for the best, because as nice as coconut is, I really don't want to go around smelling like cheap suntan lotion! Disclaimer: using too much will obviously wreck greasy havoc on some hair, especially finer, lighter, european hair -- which I have, actually. I couldn't have used this at all back in the day when my hair was naturally on the oily side, but if you have coarse, frizzy, wiry, or even just really dry hair, you can probably find the right amount for you to bring back the nice texture and shine without getting overly heavy -- even if that means mixing it in with a bit of gentle shampoo.

You have to run hot water on the bottle so that the coconut oil liquifies since it is congealed and will not come out of the bottle any other way!

I'm disappointed because each bottle is just shy of 1 liter which is NOT what I expected. I thought I read each bottle was 33oz because that was exactly what was called for in a herbal recipe I was making. Otherwise, I am very familiar with this brand's oil from living in India for a short time. I love the coconut smell, I know it's pure because it solidifies in my cool bathroom. I use this oil topically on my skin after bathing, I love that smooth, moisturized feeling I have in the morning, not too oily and my skin just looks plump not dry. I plan on using it a good deal during the winter here in the US when I tend to get a little extra dry due to having the heat on during the winter months, I will also be using it for my hair. I would definitely consider buying more for kitchen use because this oil is also great for cooking use.

Wasn't too impressed that the product was only 6months from its expiration date.

🥥 I've been using Parachute Coconut Oil for a long time. The oil is pure, has a natural coconut fragrance, and is great for regular hair care. It helps keep my hair soft and nourished. The 1L jar is convenient to use and offers good value for money. Highly recommended!
