perfect for our needs. Setup was surprisingly easy โ I just connected it to my existing fence line and the grounding rod as instructed. It provides a strong, noticeable shock that keeps the animals respectful of the boundary, but it's not overly aggressive. Very happy

Pulse unit - Inaccurate power stated - Dan Drilling
this is a "pulse" unit. I did not see that in the description, hard to judge how powerful it is..UPDATE it was not power full enough, ended up buying a more powerful unit. HOWEVER, I did not realize the return window was only 30 days, I had to have returned it by June 5th. Today, June 20th. Most retailers have much, much longer return policy. Am disappointed in Amazon for this policy.

Solid performance built well
Seems to be working well. Its maxing out my 7kv tester. The box feels sturdy and has some weight to it. Good product! Price is good for what you get. Pet protection easy to use and install.

FENCMATE WORKS WELL
Very powerful unit and works well to ward off varmints. Good Quality compared to other China products I have purchased This Fence Mate electric fence charger I purchased is rated for 1J and it packs a punch and I have no issues with varmints now trying to trash my garden. I previously had a .10 J and had nothing but problems with wild varmints trashing and tearing up my yard and garden. The Fence Mate works very good and I have no longer had any varmint issues for months now. Very satisfied with this product for the value.
