Good food, but expensive
The birds love it, it's really good for them, and because it is spicy I don't have to worry about it attracting rodents! It is expensive - it'll never be my go to day to day food - but it's great for birds that are stressed or recovering in some way. I do wish it came in bigger bags. The pellet size is perfect for cockatiels and budgies.

Two Wings UP! My Lovebirds LOVE Spicy HPF!! โค๏ธ
My feathered kids (lovebirds) love, love, love Harrisonโs Bird Foods products, especially Spicy High Potency Fine; just about as much as the Power Treats. Iโve been feeding my senior birds Harrisonโs from day 1 after hatching. I hand-fed them Harrisonโs mash, then switched over to pellets when they were old enough for solid food. One is 21+ years old, and the other is 12+. A pelleted diet ensures that they get the proper nutrition, even if they have fresh food (moist) phobias. On occasion, they are treated to dried fruits. The spicy HPF is fresh, has no odor to my nose, and is easy to dispense and clean up. I have not had a meal moth problem with pelleted foods. Storing their food in the freezer also keeps it fresher for longer. Rarely, if there are any leftovers in their dishes, I empty it into a ziplock bag and feed it to the wild birds outside after accumulating enough. Giving my fids fresh Harrisonโs HPF daily is a must. The nitpickiness factor: Sadly, the Spicy High Potency Fine flavor is not for sale often enough on Amazon. I do feed them their regular High Potency Fine, sometimes with red chili flakes. Not often though. That seems to satisfy them when I run out of the Spicy HPF. The price has skyrocketed recently. I used to pay around $17.00 - $18.00 for a 1 lb. bag. But that price has jumped to the mid-$20s. I know there is a budget line of Harrisonโs foods, which I havenโt tried. But Iโm biased since my fids love the tried and true quality of the original line of Harrisonโs Bird Foods; even if itโs more expensive than before. Thereโs no compromise. I hope for my feathered babies to live for a very long time more.

Arrived as expected in Great Shape as shipped with another product in one box
Always a great product. The shipping can be tricky and product less protected when purchased here on Amazon, it is produced in a softer bag that should always be encased in a outer package, NOT shipped solely in the manufacturing bag. It was originally offered at Dr. Harrison's vet clinic when I first became a Avian family in 1997. Hard to find on a shelf now as few local vets have an Avian specialty.

Our bird loves anything from Harrisons
We've trusted our baby's health with Harrisons for the past 5 years now. Our African Grey likes pretty much anything from Harrisons and MOST importantly, it's Organic! I don't want GMO's, pesticides, artificial colors, etc. in her diet and Organic pretty much ensures that.

Harrisons is the best
This is all my avian vet recommends for food. For years you could only get this through vets, so I am happy to see it being sold here, if only for convenience. I've been feeding my parrot this food for 20 years, and he's a very healthy and happy big guy. Funnily enough, I get the smaller size Harrison's pepper flavor sometimes and give it to him as a "treat," which he loves. Parrots are so strange sometimes. lol

They need another size pellet
Fine is too small for my Conures and Mini Macaw, but the right size for a budgie or parakeet. Coarse is too big unless its a cockatoo or macaw. They really need something in between. Its a shame because I do like this brand of food. I will buy again when they come up with an in between size but for now were gonna stick with Roudybush.

Pretty good bird food
I have an African Grey parrot and I thought this might be too small for him to eat but he loved it in the end. My African Grey is a picky eater so I was skeptical. At first he snubbed his beak at this bird food so I had to make believe I was eating it. He tried it and liked it. I sprinkle some in his raw veggies to give him variety. This would be great for parakeets being small pellet size. I'd buy this again for my African Grey.

Great! One of the only pellets my blue fronted Amazon will eat and we purchase them primarily through this seller. Good prices, too.

Nutritious and yummy
My lovebird loved the bigger size to her normal super fine harrisons. Not sure if she enjoyed the taste of pepper but she dug in and didn't want to stop, so clearly good! An added bonus is she loved destroying the harrisons bags from the inside out. Northern Parrots ship fast and it came with their lovely magazine this time! They clear care about parrots and are very knowledgeable, I totally trust them to provide only the best for my best feathered friend.
